A: Hi there Cameron - our deal does not include the new version of Mailbird 3.0. The deal on here was for a Business license, which is a license associated with our previous version of Mailbird (called Mailbird 2.x), whereas now a new license will be required to use our latest version of Mailbird (i.e. either Standard or Premium).

Thank you for your query. For an upgrade to Mailbird Next, we plan on offering exclusive deals to all our customers for a cross-platform experience. We hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. We do use Web Whatsapp in Mailbird and it uses the constant connection to WhatsApp servers. Please note that WhatsApp Business is not supported in Mailbird as of now.
Please let us know if you have any more questions!
Q: Your support told me that you are starting with "Mailbird Next" a mail app for android, ios, Mac and Windows very soon!
You also published a landing page for this crossplatform product. (https://www.getmailbird.com/mailbird-next/)
I asked the support what happens with my one-time-payment purchase of your regular premium mailbird software and if I will get a special price for a one-time-payment of the new software (mailbird next) as a present customer.
This was the answer: "After Mailbird Next is released, you may continue using your Mailbird with all of its existing features. However, the cross-platform experience (accessibility of Mailbird on Mac and mobile devices) and new features will be available exclusively to Mailbird Next users. What will happen to your existing Mailbird subscription? Nothing really - we'll continue to offer updates to the current version well into 2023, developing Mailbird Next in parallel. Later, we'll focus entirely on Next to bring out new and exciting improvements faster and to more devices. While still offering maintenance updates for the current version, the latest and best experience will be on Mailbird Next."
This means you are selling here and in your website the "old" mailbird, knowing that your only will provide real updates up to 2023? This is not fair, in my eyes. If you know it, tell your customers and don't let them think they are buying a product that will be updatet for a long time. Tell them that 2023 will be the last updates for this software. THAT would be a very good move, proofing that you care about your customers.
For know I have the feeling that you just want to get more money, already knowing that you are selling a product that will be "outdated" very soon!
I am very disappointed, as I bought the one-time-purchase of your premium software not long ago. As the trust in your behaviour is gone.... I will delete yor software... the money is lost!... and just got back to the good and free Thunderbird.
I am willing to buy ONE-Time-PAyment Software... (not interested in paying every year).... but I am just willing to buy from companies I really trust and that obviously care for their customers. In this case ... this is not happening :(
Thank you for your message and for sharing your thoughts with us, we appreciate this very much and feel sorry that you feel this way.
I have forwarded your feedback to our Product Team for further consideration. Regarding the Mailbird Pay Once and Mailbird Next - both are developed simultaneously and we'll ensure that Pay Once gets maintenance updates until the end of 2023. We...
Two years since the original post and you guys STILL don’t have your crap together. You’ve FINALLY launched Mac (a full year AFTER saying you would) and you’re still WAY behind on iOS/iPadOS. Why do you expect people to pay AHEAD for tech you haven’t even come CLOSE to launching? It’s THIS mentality that pisses consumers off. Furthermore, “Pay Once” means just that… you pay ONCE.
You tell people to pay ONCE then expect them to pay AGAIN when you want them to upgrade?!? That’s a flat out lie & warrants a lawsuit. For this reason, I’m done with Mailbird before I’ve even begun. I’ve waited for YEARS for a Mac product. Now, I’m massively pissed with the ridiculous delays & misleading verbiage. Mac & IOS should have been launched together as they’ve ALWAYS worked hand in hand!
Q: You are basically selling a product that will be abandoned, right?
Was MailbirdNext planned only to get rid of LTD buyers?
Thank you for your message. All current users will still be able to continue using Mailbird PayOnce with all existing features. However, this offer doesn't include the cross-platform experience, available only in Mailbird Next. For an upgrade, we plan on offering exclusive deals to all our customers for a cross-platform experience, this is yet a work in progress.
Q: I already purchased this a while back - and now you have 3.
0 out - does the lifetime deal previously purchased not include the new 3.0??

Will the upgrade to Next be a subscription or lifetime deal for us?
