Q: I don't do much email marketing but I wanted to setup a list for existing members of one of my sites.
When I imported their email addresses to Mailchimp I got a warning from "omnivore" there is no way to decipher Ominvore since there is no additional information provided on which email address is problematic and Mailchimp won't let me proceed unless I undo the entire list. If I run my list through your service will I then be able to use mailchimp without the Ominvore black hole of nothingness?
I've checked the case and seems that unfortunately, Mailchimp doesn't provide specific addresses that are likely to bounce, generate complaints, or hit spamtraps. When you get this type of alert from Omnivore on your account, you won't be able to send it to the affected audience, but you can also continue sending it to unaffected audiences in your account. If you get an omnivore hold, you can still replicate that campaign to resend it to the modified audience.
I understand. The problem is that since there is no information provided there is no way to know how to fix your list and it is ALL OR NOTHING with omnivore. So I am hoping that mailcheck will essentially fix my list before I submit it to mailchimp/omnivore. In other words, if I run my list through mailcheck first, will mailcheck address the issues that omnivore WILL object to?
Sumo-ling hello,
Thanks for your response. As a Solution, we can offer to check your list with mailcheck and use 50-100% trust rates to export to Mailchimp. Again, Omnivore is something that Mailchimp set, and they regulate its parameters.
