I've used MarketMuse to optimize new content and to update existing content and the results have been excellent. I think the usability could be better but the tool does what it's supposed to do.
MarketMuse has been one of the better investments. A real premium, high-end content tool! They're developing and I enjoy it! I did a full review. You can watch it here if you would like: https://phillipstemann.com/marketmuse-review-premium-content-research-tool/
A good tool to research content, however, the domain restriction is still there. While signing up, I had used a random domain name and it appears I can only change the domain once.
Response from support: 'Hello! Are you trying to change your domain? We can change it for you as a 1-time courtesy. Please let me know what you would like the new domain to be.'
Doesn't cater to the 2nd largest English speaking country
PROS: - Does what it says. - The AI is unbeatable among competitors. - The dashboard is refined and intuitive.
CONS: - Doesn't tell you when a credit is consumed, they should put in place a simple javascript popup asking "This action will consume a credit, do you want to proceed?"
- I am from India, the 2nd largest English speaking country and need support for the google.co.in search. Doesn't seem on MM's roadmap, which is extremely puzzling since they are literally losing thousands of marketers from India.
I don't really see any value in the available tools for the Appsumo deal they're offering. Seeing how many times you have a certain keyword in your entire article won't help you a bit with your ranking. Keyword stuffing (or lack thereof) won't contribute much toward your SEO ranking...
Furthermore, I just realized that with 2 codes I can't even do a simple export -my mistake for missing that feature on the deal page - but I can't really understand why would anyone place such a stupid limitation for stacking codes...
Finally, I'm giving it two tacos because I still haven't checked the Content Brief and First Draft features, due to their temporary limitations. Some people that I know have been waiting for a month to get access to these reports, I haven't even bothered to order one yet.
I'll re-visit my review once I get a full grasp of MarketMuse but it's likely that my rating will probably decrease instead of going up...
Not happy with what I've got for $140 so far.

Hi Sumo-ling — Thank you for your review — appreciate the feedback.
The intent of the Optimize application isn’t to stuff keywords. The topic model generated from your focus topic shows related topics that, when covered in the article, help tell a comprehensive story. The suggested distribution range is a guide to ensuring proper depth of coverage. Some people prefer to see exact numbers as...
