Best deal I've gotten

Great onboarding tool, and totally intuitive. Has all the features you require for simple and clear product onboarding.

Probably the best deal I've ever gotten on AppSumo

Love LOU

The faster a new user reaches the "aha moment" of seeing value from your product, the more likely you'll retain them as customers. Also, if you can automate the walk through and training, that's less time and money on support. And that's why I love LOU. It makes it easy to add interactive welcomes, walk throughs, and announcements. And it doesn't take too many eliminated support tickets to pay for itself.
So, pick it up, you'll be glad you didn't miss this one.

Get it get it get it!

I'll not get too excited on this deal, but if you have any web portals (e.g. SaaS) that your users/clients need to explore, then unless it's so easy that a child could operate it, you should get Lou. Let's be honest, if you think a child can use it, they probably won't be able to, so you should also get Lou!

I'll be honest, when I first bought it, Lou didn't work for my app (www.quickblog.co) and I wasn't hopeful. There was an issue with the editor in the app. But I reached out to support (Rachel and Kyle got back to me) and within 1 day they fixed the issue, and were super grateful that I helped them create a bug fix potential issues with future users! I was stunned, considering how long it takes other SaaS vendors to resolve UI issues!

Now that it's working properly, I set up my onboarding experience pretty quickly. There's a very short learning curve and I did it without reading any documentation, read into that what you want. I'll definitely be creating more announcements now and I can even use Lou as a pseudo changelog!

So TL;DR:

I love:
- Ease of use
- Responsiveness of support (thanks Rachel & Kyle!)
- Platform UI
- The deal itself (50K MAUs, awesome and generous!)
- The surprising number of tour features (JS code call, videos, links, etc)

What could be better:
- Integrations - webhooks is needed if you ask me, although there are a tonne of others already available
- Roadmap visibility: Sub-accounts/workspaces would be a no-brainer and I would stack this faster than Chan Keng Ian on Finals Day
- Live Chat support could be included, but I can't knock this deal down for it!

I wanted to build user tours into my app since I conceived the idea, but always thought it'd be expensive and very technical (css + js - no thanks!). Lou has solved two issues for me and I'm so glad I keep checking the AppSumo marketplace for up-n-coming deals. I'm just surprised that this wasn't put on the main stage! It's a phenomenal deal, with smart founders backed by real investors and decent clients! I look forward to the future of Lou (or what it may be eventually called!)

Product Is Not Upto Mark

I have done huge research considering I will use it in my product. But after spending 1 week of time I get to know this product is still not up to the mark. Below are the genuine PROs & CONs of LOU.

=> Pros
1. Drag & drop announcement & tour very easy on the particular elements.
2. It is used only for the start of an announcement & tour automatically but programmatically difficult to add.
3. The report section is very helpful for tracking activity.
4. Users can add Feedback forms & celebrations at the end of the tour.
Users can show “n” a number of times an announcement & tour as per requirements but the default option is set to 1.

=> Cons
1. Announcement and Tour does not work on the latest google chrome version 90. It’s working on the google chrome version 71 and 74 as per my testing.
2. Tour limit is very less. (Not worth buying with this limit)
3. An Announcement & tour take 3-5 seconds to show on the website.
4. Limited design text editor options.
5. Documentation doesn’t contain any dummy examples and only gives theoretical knowledge.
6. LOU recommends 5 steps in length or less. Biggest limitation
7. Programmatically difficult to find out the particular place where I can add the LOU.Star() function to start the journey?
8. every time announcement & tour opens in the dashboard not an option to back the dashboard.
