Q: Hey, awesome Sumo-ling community!
:)
This is Nathan from Vocal.email!
I've been sending voice messages in WhatsApp and iMessage for years and wondered why there was no way to do this in Gmail - so we built it! We're a small business, just four of us building this company and we use it every day - so will you soon? :)
I'm super stocked about this deal, we've never offered any deals in the past and won't do it again :) Our app has a free limited plan - if you're unsure, you can just sign up for free and play around (https://vocal.email)
Here are a few questions that might be on your mind:
What's next on the roadmap? We plan on adding many new features like automatic transcription and native mobile apps to send voice messages from your phone.
Where is the data stored? Your voice messages are only stored on your computer and in Gmail, we don't store them.
You can reach me at help@vocal.email to share any thoughts or if you need help!
Cheers!
Nathan
I can definitely support this. Would love to see the transcription be added buying now!! Thanks.
Thank you for your input! Transcription is definitely the most requested feature and likely something we will build (AppSumo customers will get access to it of course!)
It raises some questions around whether we should build our own transcription solution or rely on a third party as well as around privacy as transcribing audio messages would require us to parse them through our servers.
Would love thoughts on the matter!
