I understand there are 1000 max participants per meeting. If I use the streaming feature there could be 2000 viewers overall. At the end of the webinar with each presenter having a breakout meeting room with tier 2 could each of the presenters meeting room accommodate 1000 participants without streaming or is the max 1000 of the original webinar divided by 3?
A: We do import youtube comments and facebook comments when streaming out to them. Currently Meetn is more of a Zoom replacement than a streamyard replacement. We will be moving in that direction however!
Congrats to those who got Streamyard here on Appsumo, one of the best deals ever, thanks to the quality of the templates and audio/video services offered! Could Meetn be one of them? I would like to better understand how Meetn manages the recording process. I ask because I would like the highest possible audio and video quality for my recordings, even with low connection quality. Do you think the possibility of local recording before uploading could be implemented, to ensure excellent 1080 video and audio quality with separate tracks? I think you could take part of the market for vPodcast creators, today too expensive! Last thing: the audio jumps that are heard in your video tutorial on the site, are they the norm or will they be fixed?
Thanks for the promising program and for your clarification!
A: currently, we're doing cloud recording only and the quality beats zoom, but I'll admit it doesn't beat services like Riverside that do local recording for each participant and then re-mixes everything after the meeting is over. We do want to do that in the future
1. If i create the New Event, can i customize my Event link ?
2. Once i create the New Event, any method that i can direct enter the New Event Room without the needs to go to the Room Setting to change the Room name?
3. Possible to add in more information on the New Event Page? For example, speaker name, event details, and add in more photos about the event.
4. Can i upload a Recorded Event, and schedule it to start play it automatically to my invited peoples?
A: 1. You can not currently customize your event link... but that's a great idea! I'll add it to the list 2. in Meetn, currently, the "event" link takes people to the same room as your room link (the event happens IN the room). We do plant to allow events to happen in their OWN room in the future 3. You can customize the welcome message and if you want more info, put it in a graphic and upload the graphic. That will replace the welcome text and you have full control 4. What you're desribing is "evergreen events" and that's on our roadmap.. coming soon!!
We are currently using the Core version of StreamYard, which allows us to have up to 11 participants, including speakers and screen shares, on screen at the same time. We find the backstage feature especially useful, as it lets us invite speakers to join the session without immediately putting them live, giving us full control over when they appear on the webinar stage.
We would like to know: How many speakers can be hosted simultaneously on meetn? And does Meet offer any similar functionality to backstage or stage management?
A: Currently you can have up to 50 speakers and we're working on raising that to 200 or 300. If you have "Attendees join muted" enabled and "hide muted attendees" enabled, then hosts and presenters will join "backstage" and when you unmute them, they are on stage -- just like streamyard
Is it possible to share screens both ways. I.e. show the student how to do something on my screen, and then ask them to show how do a particular action in a software from their screen?
A: currently it's 50 active speakers in the main room. We're working on upping that to 200 or 300 ASAP. Up to 1000 total can attend as viewers. Breakout rooms are currently in beta and artificially limited to the number of speakers (interactive) attendees. We're working on upping that total to 1000 attendees
Did I understand correctly that these events have a specific, dedicated URL? However, they take place in the Meeting Room where I created the event. So from my perspective, the advantage would be that I have a separate URL for each event, and I can optionally require participants to register and receive reminders — with the goal of collecting the email addresses of each participant.
A: Currently events happen in the same "room" they are scheduled in even though they have a different URL. They have a different URL so the event link can turn into a replay link automatically, if you enable that
A: It's just one recording. You can choose gallery or active speaker when you start the recording. Screen share will be recorded full screen with an optional PIP of the active speaker if you want to enable that (in menu / room settings)
Q: Do I need to connect and external service for webinars?
For example: If I am looking to hold a webinar for 1000 attendees and 5 speakers, do I need to connect Amazon Chime, Zoom webinars/meetings, or similar services? or I can hold the webinar and stream speakers video and slides only with Meetn. Thanks
Q: Problem with special characters when registering participants
I want to use MeetN in the Czech Republic. Participants have Czech names and cannot log in under their own name during registration. There is no option to enter a Czech name during registration. The registration form does not support Czech diacritics. Will you fix this problem?
When I insert a media file - video, audio - into the widget, even if it's only a few Mb, the sound drops out during playback and the sound quality is very poor. Because of this, I can't use the widget with video or audio. Do you know where the error could be? The video is 14Mb, the audio is 4Mb.
A: you van upload MP3s (or Mp4s) into our "widgets" feature and play those with one click. Hosts can control the volume if you want it to be more of a background thing
A: I expect to keep the meetn logo, but we will add more ways to promote YOUR brand. Color customization of toolbar is coming after our UI overhaul. full screen coming.
I've encountered a limitation regarding the maximum event duration, which appears to be capped at 4 hours.
My event requires a 5-hour time frame to accommodate all planned activities and content. I am writing to inquire if there is a way to extend the event duration beyond the current 4-hour limit.
A: the duration is just for crafting the invite message at the end of the scheduled event flow. You can stay in your room all day for all-day events. You'll want to record each "session" separately since recordings DO have a 4 hour limit
Q: Number of participants in each meeting room

Jun 7, 2025A: currently breakouts are limits to 50 total people as its in beta. We'll up it to 1000 people total and 500 rooms total asap

Q: Follow-up questions about attendees
You missed my follow-up question:
https://appsumo.com/s/1h82rfa/
I am confused, Rick, are you saying that live streaming across platforms has no audience/attendees limitations? Yes/No
What about displaying and managing comments from other platforms?
Does Meetn handle that without issue, no matter how many participants?

Is it possible to share screens both ways. I.e. show the student how to do something on my screen, and then ask them to show how do a particular action in a software from their screen?

Jun 7, 2025A: yes. you can control if guests can share their screens

Q: What is the limit for participants in breakout room to speak?
Is it restricted to the 50 original speakers, or does it increase to 50 in each breakout room.?

Q: Screen share - 2 questions
1. Can my guests share their screen as well?
2. Can I control a guests screen or they can control mine?
Rick_Meetn
Jun 7, 2025A: yes, guests can share their screens and you can disable that via "menu / webinar settings"
We cannot do remote control as we work in the browser, and browsers can't do that

Jun 7, 2025A: we can do up to 1000 attendees right in meetn with app sumo tiers 2-5 (the webinar tiers).
You can also stream out to any social media destination via RTMP to reach an even bigger audience

Q: Hope you answer my questions :)
I just successfully hosted my first meeting using Meetn—and I absolutely loved the experience!
I do have a few questions and feature requests:
Will there be an option to replace the Meetn logo with my own branding on the meeting page?
Can we expect the ability to customize the color of the top menu bar?
Will full-screen mode be available for screen sharing in future updates?
Also, I created a short review video about Meetn, which you can check out here:
