patrickwQ: are break-out rooms available?
Zoom and many other apps have break-out rooms where a subset of participants can engage in a task/exercise/discussion etc.
The really cool ones allow the facilitator to speak to all break out rooms while the participants are only within their break out rooms.
Curious if you have such a feature or if its planned? Thanks!

Apr 8, 2025A: Yes we have breakout rooms! Currently we have "manual mode" where you drag/drop people and "automatic mode" where you pick how many rooms you want and the system randomly puts people in rooms. In a month or two we will raise the max attendee limit from 50 to 1000 and we will add "named breakout rooms" so you can name a few rooms and let attendees choose.
exciting! what many apps like zoom miss is broadcast mode during breakout rooms. in broadcast mode the host can speak to all break out rooms to provide instructions. do you have a feature like that?

We do have the ability to display a message that pops up in all breakout rooms. The idea of broadcasting video is on our list but is a ways out.
It doesn't need broadcasting video. Just broadcasting audio is sufficient by the way. Considering that you can display video streams and streaming video maybe all that is needed is that the presenter pops up as a video stream in all break out rooms (like a youtube video would) :)

Update: I just spec’d the feature for the dev team and it’s in the queue (after our current roadmap is complete)
