Q: Mini speaker window during screen sharing - seeing the attendees' view
Hi,
Would it be possible to view the attendees' view (i.e. the setup of the shared screen and speaker window) when I am screen-sharing and I select the option "Show active speaker in a small window during presentations"?
In particular because when I tried to record a meeting, my face was displayed in the big window and the presentation in a very small window and there did not seem to be the possibility to change this (I selected "Gallery view", not "Active Speaker") when setting up the recording.
Also, it would be great if "Presenter name's presentation" could be disabled when screen sharing - it is much too big, at least according to the presenter view.
Ideally I would have full view of the screen like attendees see it - with the large shared screen and a small speaker window.
Thank you!

Apr 15, 2025A: We used to display the screen you're sharing to yourself as big as the video stage allowed, but then people would see the "infinite mirror" effect and get all confused! So we made it so the person sharing their screen stays in whatever view-mode they were in (gallery or active speaker) but I agree with you that that is not optimal either. But I will think about it.
Thanks! At the moment, I cannot give a presentation and share screen and be visible at the same time - viewers cannot see the presentation because I am huge and the presentation window is tiny. A solution like in zoom where you can change the size of your own speaker window, and move it around, would be useful. When working with 2 screens (like I do) there is no infinite mirror problem.
yes, the āno infinite mirrorā is not a problem for users because all meeting and webinar systems have it. And if not, the solution is to have 2 screens for those who are bothered by it.
It's more important to have full-screen screen sharing for participants, so they can follow the meeting properly.

Agree. I will think through the needed changes
