Tier 3
3.5 - 4 🌮
As the title suggests; a very easy to use software for both host as guest. Host can create their event page in a few minutes and guest can upload their photos and videos in a “few seconds”
I want to point out there is a lot to be desired. Wether it ui/ux confusion, customisation, or ease of setup.
I do look forward how this tool progresses, and it’s promising roadmap.
Let’s begin:
🌮 Pros:
- active and responsive team.
- Community group (facebook)
- Upload/store media automatically to desired online storage (Gdrive)
- It actually takes only a few minutes to setup like the “marketing talk” suggests.
- Dashboard is clear
- Dashboard is localised
- It’s very simple/easy to use for guests
❌ Cons:
- It seems the login button is hidden on mobile, but dashboard seems quite responsive.
- Setting up custom domains (with SSL) is quite cumbersome, would like it to be redesigned, less friction. Preferably setting up a Cname, and that’s it.
- The mobile preview is not accurate, the dummy is too long in comparison to the actual phone size.
- Currently guests are only able to upload 5 images or 1 video at a time, this highly discourages to upload more.
- The page background image is used also as header an “profile” image on the display page, scaling them weirdly, would love to chose different images for that page.
- No option to have your own branding , but there is an option to disable Memogram branding
- Adding a team member: I have to fill in their password, I rather only fill name and email (or generate a magic-link) for them to receive an mail and create the account.
- When updating the event there is no option to close the pop-up
- There is a overlay on the event’s homepage which is quite dark
- Photos are all displayed vertically, whiteout taking in account their respective dimensions (9:16 - 1:1 etc.)
đź’ˇ ideas:
- Add the instagram footer menu instead of the floating (+) to the display page; it’s recognisable and works. This also helps with sorting to video/photos
- When uploading photos, add the ability to upload guest’s profile photo, and display that instead of cropped image from uploaded photos
- Ability to add icon to workspaces
- Show team members per workspace
- Ability to add clients instead of team members with different authority
- Restrict custom domains to certain workspaces
- Confusion for the template tab, I would have figured it t were different design templates for setting up the page but it’s actually design templates for physical and digital display of QR-code
- The “templates” are shared by the owner instead of by Memogram
- Ability to change OG image when sharing link.
Ps. Please update the login string for your WP website to avoid bad actors

Transparency
The founder is registred at a business center in Delaware with his other company Catextech.com. Here it is stated that the team is located in Nigeria, Africa.
While Memogram claims to be complient with GDPR, NDPR, and CCPA regulations, it's not possible to find its business address or company registration number on the website.
Onboarding
- After redeeming my tier 3 license I was onboarded with a 7-day free plan, renewable in 99 years, yet with limited features. I reached out to support and got that fixed quickly. I think others have had the same issues onboarding.
First impressions and dashboard
- The dashboard is nice and clear. I do wish that the introductory video wasn't so prominent. It's a 2-minute video, but it takes up a lot of the screen all the time. One might consider gathering all the video guides under a menu item in the left panel.
- While testing, I experienced some inconsistency with translation. Sometimes the text wouldn't translate if I change language at random pages, returned to the dashboard and changed the language again. Example:
1. Starting on the dashboard page (default English language)
2. Changing the language to Danish. All good, text is translated.
3. Visiting the "My Events" page.
4. Changing the language back to English. All good, text is translated.
5. Navigating back to the dashboard page. All text still in English.
6. Changing the language to Danish again. Now, all text remains in English.
Event creation
- An observation: It’s not possible to create an event from the "My Events" page. It's necessary to go back to the dashboard to create a new event. I think there's room for improvement here.
- I'm a bit unsure what Event Categories are used for?
It's not possible to filter by Event Category in the list of events on the "My Events" page. If the Event Category is neither filterable, searchable, nor used in statistics, why have a dropdown list of categories where a selection is mandatory? Perhaps an input field where you can name a category yourself would be sufficient.
- The event date can’t be set to more than a couple of months ahead. E.g. There’s now only 3 months left of 2025, however, I can’t set an event date in 2026. This should be possible.
Landing page
- The Memogram logo appears for a split second when the landing pages load.
- The black overlay is very dark. It should be possible to choose the opacity or even choose a different overlay color.
Upload
- During upload the % scale doesn't move. One is just notified that X out of Y images have been uploaded.
Team members
- Is a welcome email sent when a team member is created? If so, my imaginary team member never received the email (and it's not in the spam folder)
- For agency tiers, there’s a role missing: “Client”. There’s only the team member role, and it's not white labeled. It’s a bit disappointing that we're only able to use the team member role for clients who might want to login and edit their event or download media on a PC. They are met by Memogram branding and “How did you hear about us”.
- Observation: Why show the create event button when a team member is logged in, if team members don’t have access to create events?
Editing events
- It’s not possible to close the modal layer (Congratulation) unless one click “View all events”. The layer should close when one clicks outside of it or on an X in the top right corner.
About the campaign's progress and execution in general
- I think many have been confused by the terms for purchasing tier 3, which turned out not to require prior purchase of tier 1 or 2.
- On July 29th I asked if the prices would increase at some point, e.g. in connection with the launch of tier 3 (See Questions). Your answer was: "price increase is imminent. We strongly advise you purchase while prices are still low". And so I did (FOMO), but the prices never increased :-(

I upgraded to Tier 3 - Enterprise and hit a sang; however, Vanessa was quick to correct it.
When I set up an event in Tier 2, it was easy to create. I'm looking forward to testing out the additional features and will update as I use them.

Lots of upside...team is also very responsive.
I initially stacked two tiers, but after seeing that Enterprise was set for a September release, I decided to upgrade to tier 3. I must say, the team has done an impressive job. The user interface is very simple and clean, and the tool functions smoothly.
While there's always room for more features, the direction the team is taking is excellent. I had a brief interaction with Vanessa to update my account. She was extremely polite and had great chat manners. After updating, I logged back in, set up a test event, and customized it. I haven't worked on the domain yet, but I wanted to start testing the features.
My next step is to attach a remote storage drive to check for any issues with domains and events. The interface is so clean now, it's truly inspiring. I'm not sure if the team has improved the upload speeds yet. It took a while to upload three images from my phone, but once uploaded, I could easily view, tag, and maintain the features that came with my upload.
Once they improve the upload speeds, I believe there will be little to complain about. Today, I also suggested that the team should update the terms and conditions. This seems crucial for managing expectations regarding storage, usage rights, downloads, file sizes, and potential fees. They were very receptive to my suggestion and plan to add it to their roadmap.
I see a lot of potential uses for this tool in the hospitality industry. It could be a valuable amenity for hosting events like baby showers, birthdays, engagements, and other celebrations. It would significantly ease many pain points for guests.
I'm looking forward to the next developments from Memogram!
