Q: I'm currently using Monica, which is quite similar to Merlin, and I'm considering switching to Merlin.
However, I'm particularly fond of certain features in Monica, such as 'Translate current page' and the ability to attach screenshots of parts of a page for chatting purposes. Are there any plans to add these features to Merlin in the near future?

Jun 10, 2024A: Yes, screenshot feature is specifically very near in our roadmap (a quarter or two down the line). Translate current page, I will discuss with team and add on roadmap (you can try using google translate extension for this purpose until then, its free and damn good).
Our design philosophy has been to focus on simplicity, so if you compare Monica UI vs ours, you will see that ours is way less cluttered. Also we are super focussed on user privacy and following US regulations. Monica is HongKong based. We do want to integrate what aspects that have solved well, keeping simplicity and ease of use, at the core of it.
kkim5486PLUSIt's more natural and better quality to use something like GPT for translations than Google Translate. Plus, Google Translate replaces the original text with the translation, but this adds the translated text below the original, which is way better.
