Mootion has received high praise for its intuitive interface, quick video creation, and impressive AI capabilities. However, some users have reported issues with credit consumption and character consistency. Despite these minor concerns, Mootion remains a solid choice for those seeking a user-friendly AI video generator. Additionally, with a 60-day money-back guarantee, it's definitely worth giving it a try.

Promising but Credit Hungry and Rough Around the Edges
Mootion works fine for what it is, but it still feels like early AI video tech. The videos often show objects popping in or vanishing out of nowhere, and the main characters don’t stay consistent from scene to scene. Text that appears in the video is sometimes misspelled, random, or completely unrelated to the story.
It’s also very credit hungry. On the tier 2 level, you’ll likely only get one full video before your credits are gone.
Overall, it’s decent and shows promise, but it’s not quite on the same level as some of the newer AI video tools out there. I look forward to seeing it improve and catch up soon.

Credit changes after purchasing plans
Firstly, the main urge to purchase the tier 3 was to get as much credits out of it to generate content
At the original time of testing, it had cost 4 credits per second of low quality video (there is a high quality option that costs (12 credits per second).
They all of a sudden bumped the low quality video generation credit cost to 6 credits per second.
Who is to say then that they won't bump that up even more and so what you paid for originally ends up being less than what you will get in the future.
With AppSumo, this has been the trend with many of the companies from my experience, changing plans and even going out of business. AppSumo also does not intervene after that 2 month window for refund.
What I am plaining stating is that this will continue to cause these unfair practices.

A Powerful AI Storyteller... With a Serious Credit Problem.
I've been testing Mootion for my YouTube channel, and I have mixed feelings.
First, the good: The potential here is huge. The visual quality of the AI-generated scenes is impressive, and the cinematic style (like in the "Horror Story" template) is much better than many competitors. When it works, it creates beautiful, professional-looking videos.
However, there are two major issues holding this back from being an instant 5-taco deal:
The "AI" Isn't Quite an Expert: The tool is a "storyteller," not a "fact-teller." When I gave it a complex prompt about Fortnite lore ("The Story of The Seven"), it generated a full script that was factually incorrect and completely made up key plot points. This makes it unusable for any historical or lore-based content, as I now have to write 100% of the script myself to ensure accuracy, which defeats the purpose of an automated AI tool.
The Credit Consumption is the Deal-Breaker: This is the biggest problem. The credit usage is extremely high. I generated one 3-minute video and only four short (under 60-second) videos, and my entire credit stack was completely gone.
This is simply not a sustainable model for content creators, especially for an AppSumo deal, which is meant to provide long-term value. At this high consumption rate, the cost per video is far too expensive, and I'm forced to think more about my credit balance than about creating content.
Final Verdict:
I love the visual quality, but the tool is missing the "expert knowledge" needed to complete my work without full script supervision. More importantly, the credit system needs a serious overhaul.
I am strongly considering a refund unless the team can address the high credit consumption. If they can make the credit cost per video more reasonable, this would be an amazing tool. But as it stands, the value isn't there.

Oct 24, 2025Hi there. Thank you for your detailed and honest review. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share both the strengths you've observed and the critical issues holding Mootion back for you.
You've raised two vital points that we take very seriously and they both make sense: the need for more accurate AI scripting for specialized topics, and the sustainability of our credit system for active...

Confused
I'm utterly confused. I'm trying to get a video going where characters are talking, but all I get is a voice-over describing what's happening on the screen. Am I missing something ... the AI engine takes one prompt and goes a million miles an hour into working to the end without any further user input. Spits out long elaborate AI video, but the amount of video it is - it's a lot to customize... and there's just very limited way I can even impact the video outcome. A little frustrating.
If you need something fun, something basic - that's great. but I think an explainer video of your own idea - will have a far longer outcome than what you'd expect. a 3 minute video that should have been 45 seconds.
It's tough to say that it's useless - but It's far from very useful either.

Oct 24, 2025Hi there. Thank you for your honest feedback. You can choose 'script-to-video' feature, which allows you to put in your own input. Also, characters can chosen when the scenes are put together. If you're open to it, please email us at support@mootion.com your input could greatly assist our team in implementing the right fixes. We hope to have the chance to improve your experience.

A Game-Changer for Quick, Impressive Videos (Tier 1 User)
A Game-Changer for Quick, Impressive Videos (Tier 1 User)5/5 Stars – Highly Recommend for Casual Creators on a Budget. I've been dipping my toes into video creation with Mootion for a few weeks now, and honestly, it's exceeded my expectations every step of the way. As someone who's not a full-time video pro (think hobbyist with a day job), I was looking for something simple, affordable, and powerful enough to wow an audience without a steep learning curve. Mootion delivers on all fronts, especially at the Tier 1 price point via AppSumo, I'm cheap, so that deal was a no-brainer for me. I've cranked out three videos so far, and each one's been smoother and faster than the last. The interface is intuitive; drag-and-drop scenes, AI-assisted scripting, and seamless integration of music and stock footage make it feel like magic. What really sold me was prepping a presentation for my local travel group. I had a rough idea, fed it into Mootion, and in under 20 minutes, I had a polished script, upbeat background music, and a full video ready to roll. Their jaws dropped. "How did you do that so fast?!". It turned a simple pitch into something professional and engaging, all without me touching Premiere or sweating over edits. That said, no tool's perfect, and Tier 1 has its limits that keep me wanting more (in a good way, it motivates upgrades down the line). With only 16 scenes per video, I sometimes feel boxed in for longer projects, and the voice options are a bit slim compared to premium tiers. But these are minor hurdles; the core voices are solid, and I've worked around the scene cap by keeping things concise (which actually suits my quick-hit style). If you're a casual user like me, an occasional marketer, presenter, or storyteller – Mootion is a steal. It's democratizing video creation without the bloat. Grab it while you can; you won't regret it. Can't wait to make video #4!
