A great product from a provider who is either overwhelmed as an entrepreneur or untrustworthy.

Why? Well, it's a great product because anyone who has formed an opinion based on the many tutorials already available on YouTube, for example, will certainly agree that a clone that can draw on almost any source of information can be extremely helpful.

And especially those who have already made a tutorial—I have also worked on one, by the way—will probably be very disappointed that myclone.ai is now backtracking.

This is unheard of in business. Agreements and arrangements are made, and failure to comply with them is punished.

Not so on this platform. If a company says, out of frustration, “Sorry, we actually wanted to make more deals with this campaign, which we obviously didn't succeed in doing,” that would be bad enough.

But the fact that a company can start deals here very naively and then simply throw everything away, apparently at the expense of the users, is a very clear weakness of Appsumo for me. Any business has to check if they are able to deliver on their promises BEFORE they close deals and take cash!
And although I have been using Appsumo deals for a long time and very frequently, this now forces me to reconsider my future use...

It's certainly great that when startups struggle, as it was the case with "sessions.us" for example, when Appsumo still refunds partial amounts. But being used as a guinea pig by myclone is not acceptable.

So now i would prove much more any appsumo deal and would warn anyone who thinks about making business with myclone. Simply cause no one can say who and how they will fool tomorrow!

Thank you to all who made their myclone test videos! Even though they where just for the bin. Maybe I would finish mine with my pov of the disastrous end ...

Due to funding issues, MyClone has made the decision to close their AppSumo lifetime deal and refund all customers.

I just received this message from the team behind MyClone:
"Hi Sumo-lings,
After careful consideration, we've decided to close our AppSumo lifetime deal and proactively refund all customers.

Why
When we launched on AppSumo, our expectation was to raise additional funding and scale the company in a way that would support this as a long-term product.
While we initially made strong progress, we are not in a position today where we can confidently guarantee multi-year support for a lifetime deal.
Rather than risk disruption down the line, we believe the responsible decision is to refund everyone now.

What this means
* MyClone will remain fully operational through March 13
* If you need additional time to export your data, we're happy to accommodate
* Please visit your AppSumo account to request your refund. If you need assistance with that process, AppSumo's support team is available to help

We’re doing our best to figure out next steps for MyClone, but we did not feel it was sustainable to maintain lifetime access under current circumstances.
Many of you supported us early and provided thoughtful feedback. We're genuinely grateful for that.

One of the biggest deciders for me on how I rate a product is the quality of self-support and the interaction with support.

Most of us are willing to work with developers to iron out the issues but we can't wait around.
We only have 60 days to make a decision. Support needs to be responsive for us to work together.

Unfortunately support is what has let this product down. The online support chat for the user that has logged in has broken, and has not been fixed in the last 10 days.
There are no other self-support options that I can see, other than a discord community.

Given the chat widget is an option for the product user, this doesn't bode well.

The current support is only available through Discord chat.
I have waited 3-4 days for a response.

I have a very strong Australian accent. My experience so far shows that the app can not accommodate this. My clone sounds like me with a very strong American accent.

I really wanted this product to work and to back them but will be seeking a refund.

However, I have to say I like this product for the most part.
It's easy to use
The documentation and support are great
The results are pretty good from the chat

Here's the thing though it takes a while to configure, when I say this I mean you need to read through the documentation and make sure you are configuring everything as it should be - the better you configure the better the results.

Now the major con for me is that the voice cloning is just ok. It may be my Irish accent but it kinda makes me sound weird - sometimes a little like me a lot of times more american.

I don't think this is 100% the fault of myclone.is as any other system that I have used for voice cloning has also had an issue.

The other thing people may think is a con is the amount of minutes we get - although you can buy more minutes at a reasonable price.

Overall I like this software and I hope for great things with it.

At first, MyClone seemed like a promising solution with an interesting concept. However, after using the platform, it feels like the product is not fully ready for the market yet.

Several key features are either missing or not working properly. For example, there is still no complete white‑label option, and some basic functions like downloading conversations after a chat ends do not work reliably.

In addition, the website lacks clear information about the credit system and what happens once the included credits are used. There is no transparent explanation of addons, pricing, or how additional usage is handled, which makes planning difficult.

I still have some time left to see how the platform evolves before deciding whether to request a refund. For now, I’ll wait and see, but there is definitely room for improvement.
