On the project page (e.g. click the project name on the dashboard) then on the right side there is a form giving you the option of inviting members to a project. These invites do not grant the users one of your AppSumo licenses, but simply invites them to the project. 📨
In order to provide someone with one of your extra AppSumo licenses then you will have to use the gift option on the profile page. 🎁

Do AppSumo Lite licenses that are 'gifted' have the same functionality as the main user account?

Yes the gifted licenses have the same functionality & limits as the main account, except they can’t gift other licenses 🍨
