When was your company founded & where is it located?
Founded - February 2022
Location - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
I've built and launched over 10 products primarily on ProductHunt.com since 2018, and they have gone to grab 3 "Product of the day", "Product of the week" awards from ProductHunt. MagicCopy, VibeAtWork, to name a few.
However, the journey there was a rough rollercoaster! I've actually shipped over 15 products before 2018 that didn't gain much traction. With all the lessons I've learned over the years and shipping and managing these softwares, NinjaPipe was birthed to be more robust, user friendly and easier to scale and manage on our end.
What is your team size?
We are 14+ Ninjas strong! We are primarily split in to software engineers taking care of the web and mobile apps, QA testers, marketing specialist, project manager and customer support. Of course still, I love wearing multiple hats and getting hands on with NinjaPipe myself. I believe that a founder must always be hands on with their product to know everything that's going on, what the customers are thinking, how it works in real-life, etc.
Are you funded or bootstrapped?
Bootstrapped but now stable with monthly recurring revenue. We have runway for 20 months and growing.
What 3rd party tools is your product critically dependent on?
None. However we optionally support tools like OpenAI GPT-4o, Twilio, SendGrid if our users want to use them (Not required).
Where is your customer data stored?
Microsoft Azure - USA
What is your current monthly recurring revenue (MRR)?
$20,000
How many customers do you have today?
125+
We acquire new customers consistently and daily now
What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
I personally felt the need for a CRM and Sales platform that was "uncomplicated", plug-and-play and accessible everywhere (mobile/web) while supporting every other tool a business owner may be relying on. I felt a gap where most of the business software that were out there were extremely limited in CRM and sales functionality, especially for small to medium scale businesses. Most business owners would have to spend a lot of money on their "higher tier" monthly subscriptions to get access to simple CRM and Sales features and still, some of those platforms didn't offer mobile apps or integrations to make their users' lives easier. I felt this gap and I wanted to fix this with NinjaPipe and make it a powerful and affordable business software that teams can rely on.
What problem is your product solving and how?
With AI at its core, most features that otherwise would cost you time and money, is automated with NinjaPipe and all of that, while being extremely user friendly and offered at an affordable price, while also being available on web, iOS and Android + welcoming every other tool you use via Zapier and Pabbly + offering an API if you want to create your own integrations. This makes NinjaPipe a no-brainer for any business and that's what I wanted as a software for myself. I wanted to use a business software that was powerful, easy to use, affordable and welcomed a community. This is what sets NinjaPipe apart from other players in the market.
What’s the #1 thing you’re looking to gain from the AppSumo campaign?
A community around NinjaPipe. I would love to bring in Sumo-lings who are open to giving feedback, new ideas and word of mouth to NinjaPipe and help us eventually make this the first choice for businesses. We are an extremely community-driven team and we love having involved customers. Funding is great but having fans who love our software is what gets the Ninja team out of bed every morning :D
What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?
We want to push for more monthly subscriptions with the earnings from the AppSumo campaign. We'll be running some campaigns to support this goal and get NinjaPipe to hit 50K and above before the end of this year. Having more MRR makes us more stable and allows us to build in more functionality that will improve the platform even more.
Any details to clarify about the deal?
We do not have any other specifics to note that aren't already mentioned.
Anything else you'd like to add?
EXCITED and GRATEFUL to be a part of this :D
