It would also be great if text descriptions on the nodes could be seen without the need to click on the node.

Turned a Book Into a Useful Mind Map
NodeLand is a pretty cool AI mind-mapping tool. I uploaded the audio from a business book and asked it to lay out the steps described in the book. It created a clear mind map of the business system and did a surprisingly good job organizing everything.
Value add: Dump in your how-to stuff to get a beautiful mind map that you can follow and adjust.
I’m still discovering what else it can do, but that first experience alone was impressive. It took a lot of information and turned it into something visual, useful, and much easier to understand. Five tacos from me.

Superb product powered up with Claude code integration
You can just tell when a product has been developed and founded by a serious developer.
There are hallmarks in the UI and API.
I found nodeland powerful and useful and then added it into my Claude connections.
Now it’s essential. Claude takes any task I have and automatically populates a mind map. Each map node is mapped to my workspace folders.
It is awesome.
And this is just a small application.

I hardly write any reviews, but this product is outstanding!

to instantly get Ai generated Mindmaps.
But not just one general summary - the AÍ can actually give several suggested angles on each topic - and it creates a mindmap on each angle. You can run it again and again to get different ways of seeing, analysing the same topic.
BUT here's the clincher - NodeLand allows for Rich Mind Mapping. At each node, you can enrich that node (branch) with Notes, documents, images, videos, links, etc. This allows you to host detailed text notes directly inside a branch. Using NodeLand is essentially building a Visual Knowledge Management System.
