I think this app is pretty cool. I decided to pick it up for my code club, and I think the students will like it as much as I do. I haven't been able to do much testing because we're not meeting in person at the moment, and teens usually join from their phones. I had some issues with the redemption process, and they helped with it right away. I hope that the Nonilion team continues to work on this app, it has a lot of potential. I think the UI and overall function are pretty good, I really like the theme. The UX could use some improvement, it seems like I'm not the only person who had trouble with the account creation process.
I'm curious to know what the issue is myself. Is this just an AppSumo account creation problem or does this happen when someone creates an account through the Nonilion app/website?
One other thing, I think it would be awesome if we could add our own sprites and slogans. Maybe this is possible already? Im not sure. As I mentioned, I haven't had the time to play around with it much.

Nonilion is amazing! It’s not just another meeting tool. It feels like a real place. You can keep community rooms open all the time so people can drop in, chat, and connect anytime. It’s perfect for community meetups, casual talks, or even coaching sessions.

I can see so much potential here!!! If we can place files or materials in the rooms for everyone to view or download, that would make seminars and workshops even more interactive and fun.

The developers are super responsive and genuinely listen to users. I can really see this platform growing fas. it has huge potential!

It's a cool product. It has the ability for you to host a "room" / map and invite people to join. There isn't too much interactivity with the map. You can just walk across everything. There are some boomboxes in the rooms that play audio when you get close but not much else to interact with. I think there are a lot of cool directions this could go. Adding more options for customization and programmability would be key. I hope to see this developed further.

When using the platform, I could not change the Camera I was using. Even though I would select a different one in the settings, it would not adjust or load properly.

We spent some time with the product which reminded us to Gather workspaces, but not as close to the perfection and detail there.

We had several basic accounts-related problems.

First the base setup didn't work: We received a "This AppSumo license is already linked to another account. Please contact support." error message and had to contact support 😐
The problem was solved after 68 minutes (first response after 45 minutes) which we consider fast 🙂

However, after setting up rooms and invited people with a link as per the documentation, all invited persons who followed the link got an error message "account does not exist" when trying to connect and had no chance to proceed. The problem basically might be just UX related (i.e. first one has to register and then can be invited), but in our opinion the flow (and the app) has not been thought through and needs major overhauls to compete with tools like Gather.

We refunded and think this product isn't ready yet at all.
