Potential

I use Descript daily, and it's really awesome, but it's nice to see a local startup in France that is also using Google's technology stack. I'm going to treat this like a kickstarter project and support it in order that those in France will have an option to build what is interesting to them.

It's nice to get unlimited storage of videos and transcription.

I'll give it 5 tacos and just say that it works as intended for
1. Uploading videos from my local system.
2. Copying videos from web pages via URL.
3. Copying videos from YouTube via URL.

Something that I like better than Descript is that Noota allows editing directly in the web browser and this allows me to use Antidote to check spelling and grammar.

I also like that by default the transcript edit mode allows text to be edited directly without needing to switch modes like with Descript.

And what interests me the most is the text analysis, which Descript doesn't do much about because they are focused on Video and Podcast users that do not need to study or analyze the video and audio content. Personally, I think that Noota, if they go in a direction of DEVONthink or other personal information managers where tagging and grouping and search and analysis become powerful will be more useful for my workflow than a video/audio only focus.

So I like where this project is going. Seems great to get a multi-user license for family usage if you have students that can use this for lectures.
