Q: Hi Notice team, I intend on using Notice's blog feature as a "quick update wall" to highlight my social ...
media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc).
Note: No synching to WordPress will be done. Just embedding on a single post or page.
Question 1: Since the WordPress post/page already has titles and descriptions, how will Notice affect SEO?
Question 2: I noticed that when I open a post on Notice's blog or blog posts in a new tab/window, the links load the blog/post on Notice's web domain. Can I use a subdomain of my website for this instead of Notice?

Also, when I search Google for that specific URL, Google shows the blog name title "Notice blog" instead of the actual blog post. It would be ideal to show the blog post title for the post and the blog name title for the blog page instead for SEO purposes.

May 15, 2024A: Hello again,
Thanks for the video, helped a lot to understand your concern.
So actually this is just an old link we had before that was not updated since we're going to change this page on our website.
But if you go to the blog directly by the link on the top bar or bottom of the homepage, it's the right setup. You can check it here:
The main page of the blog: https://blog.mynotice.io/
Article: https://blog.mynotice.io/?article=why-did-we-decide-to-integrate-gpt3dall-e-in-notice-f37d
I also have an example of this same blog inserted on a WordPress page (this is a scratch, just to use as an example): https://noticedemo.wpcomstaging.com/notice-at-wordpress/
Note: if you're not using our plugin, you should integrate Notice with the HTML block on WordPress. Do not use iframe, because this is not working for SEO, but HTML yes.
Hope this can help!
Bests,
Helen
Hello,
Thanks for your message.
Just to be sure: you intend to use the blog to post articles promoting your social media, that's it? Just want to be clear that you cannot create content on Notice and post it on social media like Facebook, IG, and so on.
If you're adding Notice blocks inside your WordPress website, this integration can be done with our dedicated plugin, or a short code block, and even an HTML block. Even if it's a short code you insert inside WordPress, this content will be read for Google as a piece of text, just as the other blocks you have inside the page.
Plus, content created on Notice is structured - you can read more about it in the Rich Snippets section here: https://notice-faq.mynotice.io/
Basically, you'll make use of SEO management of WordPress and rich snippets of Notice. We'll improve our SEO features soon, but please note we're not a tool focused on SEO.
If you'll put your content inside WordPress, it will keep the domain you already have there. If you want to use the Notice hosted version, you can already do it by going to the Integrations tab -> Link. You can customize part of it by going to Customization -> Configure -> Website info. Soon - in around 2 weeks - we'll be able to have a completely custom domain.
Hope this can be helpful.
Bests,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Thank you for your response.
Regarding the Google search results issue where Notice blog name “Notice Blog” is shown instead of the actual Notice blog post title, this seems to be related to how metadata is configured for individual posts on Notice’s platform.
I see that you said Notice is not SEO focused, but the sales page says that Notice enables users to "Publish articles optimized for SEO without worrying about the technical details."
Somehow, this is technical, and I am a bit worries. Note that I intend on embeding social media post on Notice, embedding Notice blog on one page of the WordPress site and not using the WP plugin.
My specific concern is that Notice blog posts do not seem to be SEO optimized as expected. The blog post titles for Notice Blog (embedded) are being recognized by Google, and as such, the "Notice Blog" title is being shown (instead of the actual blog posts) as previously mentioned.
