The app creates functions you can't reuse !!! you can't access the code, but the app can't either.

Just to build two simple functions (a login and filling out a form) I burned through the entire tier subscription, and on top of that it couldn't even run them because it didn't build them right.

So you need around 100€ to get a single reusable function that, if anything changes for whatever reason, you have to rebuild from scratch, because you can neither access nor reuse the code. Ridiculous.

I tried a few simple automations and they worked after a few tries. I am still learning the platform, but the idea is strong. Having browser automation, AI agents, and serverless endpoints in one place makes sense.

I did have a hard time trusting it with my email and password for the most useful automations. I prefer not to share credentials, so I moved slower there. More guidance on secure login options would help a lot.

The lifetime deal is the big win here. Offers like this are rare. If you want to start small and grow into more advanced use cases, this is a good pick. I am happy with the value so far and plan to keep building.

As a developer of 20 years, I've tried several hours with Notte, however I could't even login into one of my websites and preserve the session, which is the needed zero-step so that you can use the tool at all. One website would log me out immediatelly after finishing, the other would block me out during the login. The tool frequently times out in the middle of interraction, the built in browser would loose connection and would often become unresponsive and stop loading anything.

At the end support jumped on a call, seemed very familiar with the problem and assured me that they will fix it in 5-10 mintues, but never heard from them. (UPDATE: They responded the same week, email went to spam. But I've already requested a refund, so my bad on this one, maybe things work now with one of the European websites).

I am just not in the mood to be beta tester, I really want this to work but for now Claude or OpenClaw solve it same problem without me using time on it.

I’ve noticed that some people mention the steep learning curve in their reviews, and I can understand why they might feel that way. This tool is clearly intended for developers, which is evident from its classification under dev tools, and that focus explains both its complexity and its capabilities. It is genuinely very versatile and useful in a wide range of development tasks.

While the documentation is comprehensive, some of the terminology can be a bit confusing at first, especially for newcomers who are not as familiar with the technical language used. However, once you spend some time exploring the features and getting comfortable with how it works, its true power becomes clear. It’s built to solve problems efficiently and expand what you can achieve in your projects.

Another aspect I appreciate is the generous monthly credit allocation. For most of the tasks I’ve thrown at it—ranging from small experiments to more involved development work—it has handled everything smoothly without any real issues. The combination of capability and value makes this tool a worthwhile investment.

Overall, I’m excited to see how this tool continues to evolve. Given its current performance and potential, I have no hesitation in recommending it to other developers who are looking for a strong, reliable addition to their toolkit.

I’ve updated this to 4 stars, as I spent the weekend working on it. With the help of Claude and the documentation, I found a workflow that has now resolved one of the scraping issues (Amazon).

The Notte workflow:
Use the CLI to explore interactively ← learn how the site works
Set up authentication if needed ← create a profile
Test interactions ← see what selectors/steps are needed
Export workflow code ← get a starting point
Adapt for functions ← use what we learned and the Function API

I’ve left off one star as I’m still testing. Also, when you create a function via the internal AI process, you can’t see the code in the deployed function. If it doesn’t work, you’re stuck and can’t edit it. If you manually create the functions, you can update them as needed.

I've tried it on a couple of examples, and I've also implemented the API and CLI in a cloud computer called ZoComputer. And I've also tried using the interface directly in Notte. Unfortunately, in my test, it wasn't able to extract full information from eBay. However, I was able to get it to do it sort of one at a time through the CLI, but when going through the interface, it just didn't seem to want to do it properly. I was able to use BrowserAct to scrape eBay listings, so I'm not sure.

I also wanted to scrape some reviews from iHerb, and admittedly it does have anti-bot measures, but yeah, it failed at that as well. However, I've used another tool called Chat4Data, which is an extension for the web browser, and it's able to scrape all the reviews, no problem. Admittedly, BrowserAct does have this problem as well, so it's not just one tool. But I can only evaluate tools that I've got against each other and rate them as appropriate. Also, looking at the billing, it's burnt $8 of LLM and I didn't get any data, so, alright, for testing maybe, but at the end of the day, that's a lot to burn and not get any proper result.

I've also used Perplexity's Comet. While it's not scraping data and saving it, it can actually go through, say, all the iHerb reviews, and it can actually pick out all the positive and negative reviews, and I can ask it to isolate certain reviews and it will go and search. So, even though I'm not directly scraping data to download it, it is able to go and view that data and extract the data in terms of a summary, etc.

So I will keep testing this tool, but for now I have to give it a middle‑of‑the‑road rating because I'm not quite sure—at least with the AppSumo deal—what benefit it has, since it seems unable to scrape certain sites.
