Still evaluating this tool, however...
UPDATE 26/05/2026
I’ve updated this to 4 stars, as I spent the weekend working on it. With the help of Claude and the documentation, I found a workflow that has now resolved one of the scraping issues (Amazon).
The Notte workflow:
Use the CLI to explore interactively ← learn how the site works
Set up authentication if needed ← create a profile
Test interactions ← see what selectors/steps are needed
Export workflow code ← get a starting point
Adapt for functions ← use what we learned and the Function API
I’ve left off one star as I’m still testing. Also, when you create a function via the internal AI process, you can’t see the code in the deployed function. If it doesn’t work, you’re stuck and can’t edit it. If you manually create the functions, you can update them as needed.
PREVIOUS REVIEW
I've tried it on a couple of examples, and I've also implemented the API and CLI in a cloud computer called ZoComputer. And I've also tried using the interface directly in Notte. Unfortunately, in my test, it wasn't able to extract full information from eBay. However, I was able to get it to do it sort of one at a time through the CLI, but when going through the interface, it just didn't seem to want to do it properly. I was able to use BrowserAct to scrape eBay listings, so I'm not sure.
I also wanted to scrape some reviews from iHerb, and admittedly it does have anti-bot measures, but yeah, it failed at that as well. However, I've used another tool called Chat4Data, which is an extension for the web browser, and it's able to scrape all the reviews, no problem. Admittedly, BrowserAct does have this problem as well, so it's not just one tool. But I can only evaluate tools that I've got against each other and rate them as appropriate. Also, looking at the billing, it's burnt $8 of LLM and I didn't get any data, so, alright, for testing maybe, but at the end of the day, that's a lot to burn and not get any proper result.
I've also used Perplexity's Comet. While it's not scraping data and saving it, it can actually go through, say, all the iHerb reviews, and it can actually pick out all the positive and negative reviews, and I can ask it to isolate certain reviews and it will go and search. So, even though I'm not directly scraping data to download it, it is able to go and view that data and extract the data in terms of a summary, etc.
So I will keep testing this tool, but for now I have to give it a middle‑of‑the‑road rating because I'm not quite sure—at least with the AppSumo deal—what benefit it has, since it seems unable to scrape certain sites.

May 25, 2026Hey, thanks for the detailed and fair assessment, genuinely useful feedback.
On eBay and iHerb - they are both are heavily protected sites. eBay in particular has aggressive bot detection and iHerb has strong anti-scraping measures. The CLI working but the interface struggling suggests a configuration difference rather than a fundamental capability gap, worth looking at the stealth and proxy...

Game Changing Product
Notte is absolutely incredible. I purchased it with a very specific use case in mind. I operate a vacation rental business and have my guests fill out a pre-check-in questionnaire. If they notify us they need a sofa bed set up I needed a way of automatically creating a task for my cleaners in my operations software so my cleaners know to set up the sofa bed. I was able to do this using the Anything API in a few hours and spent about half of my monthly credits after I finished iterating and fine-tuning. I do wish they offered higher tiers with more credits as I would upgrade just by seeing the success of my initial project and the amazing capability of the app. If you have an operationally intense business and need to tie together multiple apps that do not have open API's buy this tool and don't look back. I do not have a technical background but am a software power user and was able to figure it out easily. To me using Notte in combination with Teable (Another App Sumo App) which is API connected to my PMS has taken my automation capability to another level. They work beautifully together. This is one of the most unique and useful apps I have seen on App Sumo. If you are on the fence I recommend giving it a shot and testing it out. I got my ROI in two hours,

May 25, 2026Exactly why we built Notte :) thank you. Vacation rental operations workflow with no-API software, solved in a few hours without a tech background, very cool.
On higher tiers - lots of demand for this and we're exploring but nothing confirmed.

This may Notte be a good tool
Hmm... It appears I have purchased a task failed and error simulator.
I gave it simple instructions of go to this website, search this product, scrape the information. it went to the website and went to the product but it couldn't even successfully scrape and there were loads of errors along the way. I guess Appsumo is cutting down on their work force and offloading beta testing and simple product functionality to us. The idea is cool and I see the vision of the tool and it would be really cool if it worked. I'll check back in 59 days.

May 22, 2026Hey, appreciate the honesty
Sorry the experience wasn't smoother. A simple scrape failing shouldn't be happening.
What errors were you getting exactly? Could you share the site and what tool you tried to perform the task by + what you were trying to extract - either here or at [email protected]?

Too steep a learning
This software has too steep a learning curve and poor onboarding. Plus, the bring your own key option wasn't available.
Simple scraping failed a number of times. The in buit help was poor and not as extensive as it should be. Returned.

May 21, 2026Sorry to see you go - the learning curve and BYOK issue are both fair points we're actively working on. Better onboarding and tutorials are coming, and the BYOK console bug is being fixed now. Hope you'll give it another look once those are resolved.

Why This App Deserves All 5 Tacos
This app solves a real problem if you are building an AI-empowered tech stack. We set out sevearl years ago and have been slowly assembling tools that we can integrate with our other automation tools like Claude Code.
I really don't understand the 1 taco reviews except that they don't understand the potential of a solution like this and how important these types of connectors are. It took about 7 minutes from start to finish to connect to an app that had no way to connect previously. So if you work wiht clients or have a personal use case where you work with software that you can't automate, this is a game changer. I've grown more comfortable with tools, but prior deals like TaskMagic were much more complicated than this. Literally: copy and paste the claude prompt included on the dashboard.
This is a quick steal. My only regret is that we can't stack codes. Much like Pica, people will be scared off by the 1-star-taco-sumos and miss out on a real gem.

May 21, 2026Thank you! This is the kind of use case we built Notte for, means a lot to hear it clicked that quickly.
On stacking - noted! You're not alone in wanting it and it's something we're looking at. Gracias:)
