Q: Can you please list out what features don't work for iOS?
So far it seems like the overlays only work on Android and I'm starting to pick-up that the cellular bonding technology only works on certain phones?? Can you be a little more specific since that's a pretty major feature of your app?
I'm also seeing in comments that external capture cards only work on Android? Can you please let us know what features don't work on iOS? And if they are coming to iOS or if these are inherent limitations in Apple's hardware and software that will make them impossible for the foreseeable future?

Dec 30, 2025A: That’s a very fair question - here’s a clear and accurate breakdown of the current differences between Android and iOS.
At the moment, the main feature differences are around graphics and advanced cellular bonding options, not core streaming or external capture.
Overlays / graphics are currently supported on Android only. This is not an inherent limitation of iOS, but rather because the iOS app was released only a few months ago. We are actively working to bring graphics and overlays to iOS as part of feature parity.
Cellular bonding:
Bonding Wi-Fi + cellular works on both Android and iOS devices.
Android additionally supports using other Android phones as extra cellular bonding channels. This specific capability is not currently available on iOS due to iOS platform and networking restrictions, not a limitation of Omnistream’s backend.
External capture devices:
External capture is supported on both Android and iOS using compatible adapters.
However, adapter compatibility and supported workflows can vary more on iOS due to Apple’s stricter hardware and OS policies.
In summary, both platforms fully support core live streaming, Wi-Fi + cellular bonding, and external capture.
Android currently has an advantage in graphics overlays and multi-device cellular bonding, while iOS is catching up quickly.
The iOS app is newer, and we’re actively working to align both apps to the same feature level wherever platform limitations allow.

Ok great thanks! It would be helpful if I knew what adapters worked with the iPhone, but I guess you can’t really say what Apple will or won’t support.
Thanks for explaining that, that’s helpful!
