Q: DOES INSTAGRAM'S STREAM KEY EXPIRE?
(I have 2 licenses) I want to broadcast on Instagram from your Android app, but with all the tools I've used so far, I always run into the same problem: I have to extract a Stream key for Instagram Live from the desktop version of Instagram, add it to the streaming tool, and then, when I start the live stream, go back to my computer with Instagram open to click "Start." Furthermore, I have to repeat this process every time, since the Instagram Live key expires and is only valid for a single stream.
On your website, I read that this didn't happen with your tool, because all I had to do was log in with my Instagram account and click "Start Stream" for everything to start automatically. However, the app asks me for an RTMP URL and an Instagram stream key, and isn't this the same problem?
Is it the same problem with TikTok?

Jan 8, 2026A: Thanks for the detailed explanation — you’re describing Instagram Live’s current limitations correctly.
At the moment, Omnistream’s Instagram workflow works the same way as other RTMP-based tools. Instagram does not provide a permanent or reusable stream key, and there is no official public API that allows third-party apps to start Instagram Live automatically on a user’s behalf.
Because of this, Omnistream does not have a direct Instagram login or one-click “Go Live” integration. You still need to obtain the RTMP URL and stream key from Instagram (via desktop), paste them into Omnistream, and start the stream from Instagram each time.
This is a platform limitation imposed by Instagram itself, not a restriction specific to Omnistream. We continue to monitor Instagram’s APIs and policies, and if true direct integration becomes possible in the future, we’ll be happy to support it.
