A: At the moment, Omnistream is designed to originate the stream from the Omnistream mobile app (Android / iOS). We do not support external SRT ingest from third-party apps like Moblin into Omnistream channels.

So to clarify:
1. You cannot send an SRT feed from Moblin into Omnistream as an input source
2. Omnistream is used as the capture + encoder, not as an ingest receiver
3. External apps with their own encoders (like Moblin) are not supported as sources

That said, Moblin and similar apps can be used downstream (for example, if you stream from Omnistream to an SRT/RTMP destination that Moblin or another platform handles).

We understand the request for external ingest / encoder flexibility, and it’s a valid use case, but currently Omnistream focuses on mobile-first streaming with bonding and reliability, rather than acting as a generic ingest server.

If this changes in the future, we’ll be sure to communicate it clearly.
