Great Concept! Big win for mobile streamers who want stability without the big budget
I love the concept of Omnistream. It gives you a way to use your phone to create stable live streams on location. In the past you needed to spend upwards of $2500 for something like the LiveU Solo Pro units to get effective network bonding for on location live streaming. Omnistream brings this technology to your phone. I tested Omnistream recently on an event where all I had access to was cellular data. It was a lifesaver as it was able to draw from two cellular data sources to balance my bandwidth and maintain a steady stream in a situation where one data source would have been insufficient. I'd love t see Omnistream catch on and grow as it would be a very helpful tool in the media and live streaming space.
Here's some pros and cons from my experience:
Pros: - Was very easy to bond data from my two android phones to balance the live stream bandwidth. This makes it possible for me to stream remotely in more challenging spaces where cellular can be limited. - It successfully let me input HDMI feed from other sources like computers and cameras. However, keep in mind you do need additional HDMI to USB converters to achieve this. - The versatility of drawing from wifi, and other cellular devices means my data sources are pretty versatile. - Overall I found set-up pretty easy. - It's quite versatile in streaming output/locations which was great to see.
Cons: - It's quite limited on IOS devices. I think this is partly because apple limits what developers can do with the phone hardware for some things. But the team says they will be rolling out new features on IOS soon. This was not an issue for me because I am an android user. However, important for users to be aware of. - When inputing external HDMI sources it does push the phone hardware pretty hard. Phones aren't always designed to handle this level of processing etc. Your average phone might heat up a bit and get put through its paces on a longer stream. - License doesn't seem easy to transfer to a different device. It would be great to be able to logout from one device and move Onmistream onto another device. Especially if I want to upgrade my phone. haven't tried this yet myself but other users indicated that this wasn't a do it yourself process and we might need to reach out to Omnistream to do this.
Which brings me to my final thoughts. I really like the concept. Being able to Bond Cellular data for live streaming without needing to spend thousands on new expensive hardware is awesome! Well done Onmistream team you've created something quite unique and useful for the growing live streaming space!
If you do live streaming I highly recommend picking up this deal. Either to use regularly or to have up your sleeve for if you get into a bind and need to run a show in difficult network conditions.
It works well especially for those using android devices.
However, users should consider that inputting external HDMI feed can push your phones limits especially on older devices. That said, this will probably become less of an issue with newer devices with better processors etc.
One update I'd love to see would be an easier process for moving my license to another device so I can more easily upgrade my phone and test different hardware for best performance.
Other than that 5 tacos from me!
Thanks Omnistream team

Thank you for the awesome review and the 5 tacos! 🙌
We’re glad Omnistream delivered when you only had cellular available, and that bonding two Android phones made the difference.
Quick notes on your cons: - iOS: Some features are limited due to platform restrictions, and others are on our 2026 roadmap (the iOS app is newly released), so Android has broader capabilities today. - HDMI Heat/Load:...
Unfortunately it just doesn't work - basically useless on iOS
I got really excited when I saw this and was really hoping it would work. I live stream my kids' football games and I was thinking this would really add to the experience.
Unfortunately, it just doesn't work. First, there are many limitations on the iOS app. Maybe it should just be marketed for Android? But there is no overlays or digital scoreboard and the cellular bonding is only limited to 5G+Wifi.
But I was hoping to at least stream my DSLM (GH5) to Youtube through my phone. I purchased the Accsoon Seemo so I could stream 4k, I thought with the cellular bonding it could work. But even though the app seemed to support the Accsoon, I got a message that it doesn't work. I would have thought it was something on the device's end but it works with the Accsoon app. I contacted support but never heard anything back.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m genuinely sorry it didn’t meet your expectations.
A few clarifications that may help explain what you encountered:
Regarding the Accsoon SeeMo 4K: while the Accsoon app itself supports certain 4K resolutions and frame-rate combinations, not all of those combinations are exposed or supported through Accsoon’s SDK, which is what...
I must say thanks to the Appsumo Team and al so Amir at Omnistream for sorting me out I must say that our time differences is the waiting period...but they will get back to you. 💥So far I tested a live stream on facebook and youtube and also recorded using a UVC / capture card and switcher with 3 sony camcorders and Omnistream works. It is not hard to set up and there are lots of videos on youtube. 💥Get OMNISTREAM now before its gone.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for sharing your experience - we really appreciate it 🙏
We’re glad to hear everything worked well for you, especially with the multi-camera setup and UVC capture. And thanks for your patience around the time difference we’ll always do our best to get back as quickly as possible.
Your feedback means a lot to both the Omnistream team and the AppSumo...
It was a straightforward process to set up and stream my show and this could have ben even better if it had a browser-based functionality to allow streaming directly from the browser.

Thank you for the kind words, we’re glad to hear the setup and streaming process was straightforward for you 🙏
At the moment, Omnistream is designed as a mobile-first platform, so streaming is done via Android and iOS devices rather than directly from a browser. That said, we agree that browser-based streaming could be a valuable addition, and it’s something we’re actively considering as we...
