A: Hey Ron,

Great question - as an aside, we're putting on a summit in a few weeks focused around SaaS trials and ProfitWell will be speaking at it. So we very much see them as complementary, not as direct competitors.

Essentially, ProfitWell (and the same with Baremetrics etc) are awesome all-around SaaS dashboards. They cover a much wider range of metrics than we do- which is great when you, as the CEO want to get a broad picture of the companies general health (such as growth rates, MRR, Churn etc).

However, you can't just look at the big picture - and so that's where we come in. When it comes to truly understanding what your trials are doing - that's where we double down. We're intentionally ignoring all of the wider MRR, Churn, etc metrics and instead of giving you and your team the ability to really get to know what your trials are doing.

So in essence, we help add additional detail and clarity to the very specific question - "what are my trials doing and what can I learn from them so that I can convert more of them?"

ProfitWell will tell you how many trials you have, whereas we help you understand what they're doing (or not, as the case might be) and a load of other product usage, behavioural and engagement metrics.
