Q: Outside hosting - Bunny.net
I'm planning to use Bunny.net as an external video hosting provider with OnlineCourseHost. I want to enable the following security settings on my Bunny.net Pull Zone:
Allowed Referrers — only allow video playback on my custom domain
Block Direct URL File Access — block anyone from opening the video URL directly in a browser
Token Authentication — expiring signed URLs for each embed
Will OnlineCourseHost correctly embed and play videos from Bunny.net with these security restrictions enabled?

Apr 14, 2026A: Hello there,
Thank you for writing in. Below are the answers to your questions:
1. Allowed Referrers — only allow video playback on my custom domain - Yes, this will work when you whitelist your custom domain on Bunny.net.
2. Block Direct URL File Access — block anyone from opening the video URL directly in a browser - This won't affect playback on our platform, as long as the video can be embedded and played on external platforms.
3. Token Authentication — expiring signed URLs for each embed - We do not generate signed Bunny URLs directly on the platform. If you use a URL that requires a token or expires after some time, the video will stop playing once the link becomes invalid. Static, non-expiring URLs will work best.
Please note that while we support embedding videos from external providers, we don’t manage or control the security settings applied on those platforms.
