Q: There are a lot of good reviews, although would love some clarity around your review process please?

As I'm a qualified practitioner in the personal development /wellness space, I'd love to understand your process a little better around this review of OHC from June 2025 https://appsumo.com/s/1k7fw4m/
please:
1. When your AI flags content, what exaclty is the review process? Is there a subject-matter specialist (SMS) involved, or is it based on editorial review only?
2. Has your AI evaluation process been updated since that review in June 2025? or are only mainstream (which are also typically are the most highly competitive) courses approved of by your AI?
3. The review response mentions the need for creators to have qualifications for their courses - is there a list of applicable criteria available please?
Thank you

A: Hello there,

Thank you for writing in. Below are the answers to your questions:

Introduction: We have a toxicity regulation on the platform to prevent weird content from being sold to the public. Content like pornography, get-rich-quick schemes, spam, fraudulent activities, unsolicited financial, legal and medical advice, etc. The list can be found here: https://help.onlinecoursehost.com/article/223-onlinecoursehost-com-toxic-content-guidelines

Financial, legal and medical content are expected to be backed up by certificates that point to it, and/or disclaimers wherever it is needed.

1. When the AI flags toxic content, and course creators reach out to us, depending on the content of the course, the team in charge will request that the course creator upload relevant professional proof and information. Then, the team will go through the course and manually review it. Trigger words will also be discussed with the course creator, so they can rephrase them.

2. The AI evaluation process gets updated periodically but right behind the AI is a human who will also go through your course if and when it is flagged to ensure everything is fine. We do not have a set kinds of topics that we accept; we just want to ensure that no one is selling what is not fair to anyone on the platform.

3. Qualifications only apply to financial, legal and medical content, and topics that actually need professional proof. We have a lot of wellness course creators on the platform, and they don't get flagged. If your content starts sounding a bit medical or mental, you may want to add a disclaimer that you are not a medical officer, so no one gets misled. If it is purely a medical content, then, you need a professional qualification.

I hope this helps. If you have more questions, please reach out to our support team here: [email protected].
