Q: Withdrawal/revocation button for students? Legal requirement from June 19 in Europe (very soon)
Hi there!
As of June 19, 2026, EU Directive 2023/2673 — mandates that any business concluding B2C contracts online must provide a clearly labeled electronic revocation (withdrawal) function directly on their platform. This is commonly referred to as the revocation button.
The requirements are specific:
- A clearly labeled button (e.g. "Revoke contract")
- A two-step confirmation process
- An automatic email confirmation of the revocation request (including timestamp)
- The button must be permanently accessible, not hidden in a login area or footer only
Non-compliance carries significant legal risk.
Does OnlineCourseHost currently offer a revocation button feature that meets these requirements? If not, when will it available?
Thanks! 😌

Edited Jun 9, 2026A: Hello Andreas,
Thank you for writing in.
Unfortunately, we do not have a revocation button that meets those requirements, and there is no definite timeline as to when it will be available.
If there is an update regarding it, we will inform our course creators through our newsletters.
Kind regards,
Thanks for this honest answer.
But what do you suggest your customers to stay legal and fulfill this requirement?
I personally want to avoid lawsuits ☺️
