Bought the deal and Optinly is now displaying a message AppSumo didn't pay them and therefore they don't service the users. Massive disruption to any customer. Highly unprofessional of Optinly and not a company or product that honors their commitment. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Optinly have closed our account as, apparently, Appsumo never paid them. Unsure who is right but maybe consider buying from here or, at least, Optinly.

What action will Appsumo take when a product is abandoned after a year?

Livechat doesnt work. No other way to get support. Convertly changed name to KIT.com integration is broken, no way to get support.

There is a serious security issue with this plugin that has existed for a very long time now - bad enough for Wordfence to advise complete removal of the product. Contacting support about it several times produces nothing but weak assurances that the developer is working hard on the problem. This, unbelievably, is followed by incredibly long periods of silence.

This certainly reflects badly on their reputation, and brings into question their other products' support as well.

Is it dead ?

Was working fine at the beginning.

A few month ago, it started to be buggy and not working : telling we need to upgrade as if the deal bought was not taken into account anymore

A few weeks ago : strong security warnings from sucury, wordfence, etc..

A few days ago : plugin removed from WordPress repo

I've been using the Optinly WP plugin on my website for several months and was very pleased until this week. I received a notice that the plugin had a critical security issue, so contacted Optinly support.

I was told that the issue had been fixed, but then the next day Wordpress removed the plugin, pending review. I informed Optinly support again, but so far no answer and the plugin is still not back on the Wordpress "approved" list.

It's very disappointing ... not so much because there was an issue (I understand things happen), but because it appears there's been no attempt to fix it. I hope this gets resolved soon so I can reinstall the plugin on my site.

NOTE: After this is fixed, I will come back and update my review.

So far, very happy with how easy this was to set up through Wordpress. I've been looking for some unobtrusive, modern and responsive software for little nudges and popups, and I'm impressed with the granularity this provides and flexibility for display and functionality.

I have been using Optinly for a while now, and my experience has been overall positive. One of the standout features is the wide range of templates available. The customer support team is also responsive and helpful. Additionally, the monthly plans offered by Optinly are quite generous compared to other similar products in the market. This isn't my first time using a product from this company; I'm also a subscriber to their content writer Content Ai, which is pretty good too.

On the downside, there is room for improvement in terms of the user interface. While functional, it could be more intuitive and user-friendly. More templates for the drag & drop builder or more customization options would also enhance the user experience and allow for greater creativity in popup design.

I purchased Optinly with high hopes, as it seemed like a promising tool to enhance my email marketing strategy. Unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating.

The ConvertKit integration, which is critical for my workflow, stopped working shortly after purchase. Without this integration, the product is completely unusable for me. To make matters worse, their customer support is virtually nonexistent. Emails go unanswered, and live chat responses are rare, often consisting of one-word replies that provide no real assistance.

I’ve given Optinly plenty of time to address these issues, but it’s clear they are either unwilling or unable to resolve them. This is not the level of reliability or support I expect from an AppSumo deal.

As it stands, I cannot recommend Optinly. If you rely on seamless integrations and responsive support, this product will only waste your time and money. I hope the team improves their service, but until then, I’d advise others to look elsewhere.

What can I say, it’s simply to create, very user friendly with amazing customer care and support. If you’re looking to capture client information, assessments and or lead generation this is definitely a tool you need in your toolbox.
