I built OTO AI because I was tired of leaving meetings thinking, “I should have said that.” Like a lot of people, I spend my days jumping between technical discussions, client calls, product decisions and conversations where the right answer often depends on something I read, built or discussed weeks ago. The problem wasn’t a lack of information. It was having the right information at the exact moment I needed it. I wanted something that could quietly listen alongside me, understand what was being discussed, and help when I needed it without constantly switching windows, and without turning every conversation into a recording I had to review afterwards. I tried a few solutions, but this wasn’t a $500+ problem. Worse, they lacked basics like adjustable font sizes, my choice of AI, technical context, and even the ability to ignore social cues and focus on the questions that actually mattered. So I built OTO AI. OTO can listen to your conversations, transcribe speech in real time and give you answers, facts and context while the conversation is still happening. You can also give it documents and background information beforehand, so its responses aren’t limited to whatever was just said. The goal was never to replace the person having the conversation. It was to give them a better memory, faster access to information and a little more confidence when it matters. And because I’m tired of paying another subscription for every useful piece of software, I wanted OTO to be something you could simply buy and use. That’s why we’re launching it on AppSumo.
