This one is a lemon as they do not support their product. I really liked the idea of the service, so much that I bought it full stack. I sent emails in March & April 2023. It is now May 2023, and no reply to any. I even sent a message using their contact form, nothing no reply. I wish I had more positive things to say but my account is not working at all, I can't even get to my screenshots. Their website tutorial lack greatly as they are not informative, and they have little to no self-help support. I don't mind looking things up & trying on my own but a company needs to have a KB, fully documented articles, or something in-depth.

Hopefully, someone like Wilfried Durand, the CEO sees this. But if not at least I want to warn Appsumo customers if this ever returns I would say beware.

Bought the smallest Tier1 (5000 Screenshots/m) months ago and have been running it as intended for general pricing pages and customer account home pages ever since. In a nutshell, it does what it's supposed to.

What I like is the email on page changes with three links to images (old, new, estimated change) directly in it, so logging into the tool itself is rarely necessary.

What would be great as an improvement would be the option to exclude a CSS element from the screenshot (screenshot entire page, but without the slider element).

I've been using PageScreen for 3 months now. I have over 300 pages/sites being monitored and over 7,000 screenshots per month.

I've seen some of the negative feedback and I disagree with all of it. Pagescreen had an enjoyable and usable experience the day I joined. They've added updates over the few months I've been using it and it's great to see!
I wouldn't be on AppSumo if I expected 100% commercially ready software every time, but I bought the most expensive Pagescreen tier because it is already checking all my boxes and I can see it getting better as I use it. Sometimes I wonder about the single taco reviews, if I felt that strongly that it isn't a good deal I'd probably just get the refund and get on with my life.

The good far outweigh anything lacking. The "How does this capture look?" feature seems to get the attention of the developer, because I've had broken monitoring get fixed after rating them poorly a few times.

I haven't needed to speak with support AT ALL. I've never had one issue with Pagescreen working as expected and I've only ever reached out to them with feature requests.

The good:
- The user interface is good and fast.
- Easy to add new monitoring, captures, and view the history.
- Change detection notification is simple to set for each monitor
- Beautiful visualization of the changes/differences between pages
- Tagging of interesting screenshots for later review
- Storing a HUGE number of screenshots for 12 months
- Native integration with Slack!
- Webhooks, REST API, the Screenshot API

The not so good:
- Selecting the comparison screenshot is tricky if two templates are being used to screenshot two different browser sizes on the same page monitor.
- Some sites/pages actively resist pagescreen and captures are ruined by pop-ups or other elements. This is not Pagescreen's fault and using the "CSS selector" tracking element get's around it.
- Bulk downloading of screenshots doesn't seem possible through the web UI

Tips for others using PageScreen:
- Rate your captures! Bad capture ratings get noticed, I've seen it.
- Use "CSS selector" to track the specific DIV or area
- Using the "CSS selector" mitigates many issues with pages that have dynamic elements triggering "change notifications."
- Use the location settings to retrieve the local version
- Bulk import URLs to monitor with CSV or paste

Overall, Pagescreen gets 5 tacos because it's already paid for itself in the 3 months I've had it. Snap it up if it ever comes back on AppSumo.

My account seems delete since 1 month randomly. I wrote couple of e-mails and tried to contact the support. Never get an answer and still cant login. Really frustrating.

Unfortunately this app does not work for me, and i was surprised because there's no many positive reviews stating that the app is working great and being used everyday.

Most of the websites i'm monitoring have motion (slide banners, videos, etc). The issue is that when taking a screenshot and comparing with yesterday, it will show like 30% to 80% change on the website because it's taking a capture on the wrong micro-second portion of the banner for example, that leads to hundreds of "false alerts" on site changes, going to my email because I've set an alert to receive 30%+ changes to be notified, and it's always wrong, no changes, only the "motion bug" again and again.

Note that I haven't tested it lightly, I've tested with almost 500 different websites for 3 days, and could not identify a if a single website had "real changes" because of the "fake alerts".

Also believe that with an app being around for a couple years now, it's very basic. We can't organize monitorings on folders or tag them, we can't sort by date, change % or any other, can't increase the short number of rows to view per page, so for me there's like 20 pages of pagination per day to go through, and a few other things.

As a final thought, IMO this app has everything to be a game changer, but i think the dev team is not fully committed to it, so it's under-developed, or being done at a very slow pace and i'm afraid it won't change.

Pagescreen is an amazing tool that has saved me so much time and keeps me on top of my competition. I love how easy it is to get updates from companies that don't provide a direct method and stay on top of updates and deals. Pagescreen is definitely a must have tool for anyone who wants to stay on top of their business. Support did take a while to reply, but resolved an issue I had getting updates on a site; I only wish for some additional features in the future:

Way to "ignore" portions of a website
Way to interact with the site (username/password, clicks, etc.)
Separate files by account
Data export / archive retention.

I left 2 support tickets, as my account wasn't accessable. I tried to fix this at 2-3 times, and the support didn't even bother to reply for a week. I refunded.

The product itself is good, the demo i could try, but i would recommend that the founder would get back with an answer before anyone will buy it.

PageScreen is 💖FANTASTIC 💖- I use this to monitor sites for unexpected changes, and it has been a fantastic time saver.

Setting up monitoring is easy and the integrations are solid - I set up Pabbly to save screenshots to Dropbox in about 5 minutes.

I've been using PageScreen for about a month, and it has worked perfectly: it has consistently taken screenshots at the scheduled intervals of 50+ websites being monitored and sent notifications just as advertised.

I Love the ability to compare the screenshots side by side and to customize the percent change that triggers a notification.

The app itself feels very well made - I experienced a minor issue updating a monitor and reached out to their support, who responded very quickly with help.

We had what i consider a pretty big issue with false alerts on page captures. The capture was overly pixelated and or had a blue overlay. We monitor the same sites in two other programs and its fine. I sent a chat message and it took over a day for a reply which was not correct, I replied with more information and its been a week now with zero reply....

This is not reliable enough for us to use.

I had to ask for a refund. Took 3 days for reply from admin. Emails alert stopped working for me. So I had to log in all the time to check on price change. Otherwise it was working well till my emails stopped and no reply from admin.

I think it's important to write about the great work of a developer. My first contact with the pagescreen was good. I found the tool easy to use and configure, but it had a little unwanted result with elements that had animations. I knew that prints of this type are not easy, as objects only appear when scrolling the page.

I asked about the possibility of resolution. But in general I would understand if the problem in question was a longer solution.

Support took a while to respond, but when they did, they had a complete solution. The print was perfect with all the objects and that really surprised me. 100% approved the product. Really recommend.

I didn't realize how much I would enjoy having something that can in essence archive webpages for me. I've found it pretty useful already and I'm looking forward to the future features.

Once they start adding in the ability to monitor based on HTML code this thing is going to be indispensable. Worth picking up for the long haul for sure as it has so many use applications!

This tool is very simple to use and very useful as well! It can be used to monitor changes of any web pages.
I can't use yet for my business because I need to give access to my clients by project, but support informed me that it will be implemented before end of the year!

This makes my life more efficient and gives you peace of mind knowing that your global ecom stores are up and running 24/7.

Bonus: using it to check the SERPs, you can get great insight checking google or bing and setting the intervals, excited to see what marketing campaigns will be run on BF!

Was thinking of building this from hexomatic or cheatlayer but having something that works flawlessly is a blessing and big time saver!

I had to check every week if my competitors modified their strategies, while noting these modifications on a text file

Thanks to Pagescreen, everything is automatic, and I am alerted directly as soon as a modification is detected.

An excellent new software for detecting changes on other websites. What I like the most is the simplicity and easy experience and flow to create and track. I'm looking forward to the element change on a website alert.

I've tried a lot of tools to monitor website changes over the years and I think I finally found a real keeper here! Some monitoring tools detect code changes and so give a lot of false positives. Pagescreen is visual and so it does not suffer from that issue.

Another side benefit I found for using Pagescreen is it takes beautiful full webpage screenshots which can be downloaded for use elsewhere. You can also easily set up and choose different device sizes for this.

Finally, regarding support, I had a question about the possibility of ignoring changes related to ads and comments on a particular page. I only wanted to monitor the main content in this use case and avoid false positives related to new comments or ads. Wilfried assisted quickly and took care of that using a feature on their roadmap but not yet in their interface.

I'm looking forward to using Pagescreen more. Oh, one more thing - I like the email alerts and the ability to turn them off too for use cases where I'm simply archiving changes for a record.

I have been looking for a tool to monitor sites that publish research on policy issues. I find Pagescreen to be an excellent tool for monitoring website changes and providing alerts to track the latest published research. Congratulations to Wilfried for a great job!
