💥 The Reality
We’ve hit a bump in the road. Our lead developer, Almaz, has been in hospital with a serious health issue. This unexpected event slowed our ability to respond quickly to technical questions, resolve bugs, and ship some of the updates we had planned during the first half of our AppSumo launch.
It’s been heartbreaking for our small team and we know it’s been frustrating for some of you. We’ve always set high standards for PageTest.AI, and we know we’ve fallen short of those in the past few weeks. For that, we’re genuinely sorry.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

PageTest.AI was born out of frustration. While working on another startup, I wanted to test a simple homepage headline and CTA. I quickly realized that the free tool I used before (Google Optimize) had been shut down, and the only remaining options were expensive enterprise-level platforms—completely out of reach for most startups and small businesses. I didn’t want to guess which content worked best. I needed a tool that could create, run, and analyze content tests quickly, without relying on developers or burning through budget. When I couldn’t find it, I decided to build it. That’s how PageTest.AI started: as a solution to a problem I was personally facing. I'm most passionate about PageTest because I know how hard it is to grow a business when you’re forced to rely on guesswork. I’ve been there—pouring time and money into traffic that doesn’t convert, making changes to a website without knowing if it will help or hurt. PageTest.AI gives small teams the same level of insight and confidence that enterprise businesses enjoy, but at a fraction of the cost and complexity. Seeing users discover their own 200%+ conversion lifts—often from simple copy changes—is genuinely exciting. I’m passionate about PageTest.AI because it empowers founders, marketers, and creators to make smarter, data-driven decisions. Our top priority is real-world user feedback and adoption at scale. We built PageTest.AI to solve a huge pain point for small businesses and marketers, and AppSumo’s community is the perfect audience to help us refine and improve the product. We’re also looking to: Generate word-of-mouth virality by getting PageTest.AI into as many hands as possible. Collect diverse use cases and success stories we can share with future customers. Build a long-term user base who will help shape the platform as we add more powerful features. This campaign isn’t just about sales—it’s about building momentum and a loyal community around PageTest.AI.

What are your plans with the customers, cash, and learnings from the AppSumo campaign?

Improve the product from customer feedback and the generated revenue. We have an ongoing development plan, to make the product even more valuable. We aim to leverage AI, so it will do more of the work in defining what should be tested and carry out the tests, without having to do anything, so the only action for users of PageTest will be to review the findings on the improvements found.
