Once the script is installed, tests start running straight away, but there are a couple of things to know:

1. Variants don’t change on every refresh
When a visitor is bucketed into a variant, PageTest.AI keeps them in that same group (using a tiny cookie/local storage) so they always see the same version. That’s why refreshing your browser will keep showing you the same thing — it’s intentional, so users don’t bounce around between different versions.

2. How long until results show
Impressions and engagement data begin logging immediately, but it can take a little while before you see numbers in the dashboard. Usually you’ll see the first results within a few hours, depending on your site traffic. Statistically meaningful results need more data — often a few hundred visits per variant — so don’t worry if the graph looks empty at first.

3. Quick way to check if it’s working
Open an incognito/private window or clear cookies to force a new variant assignment.
You should then see the alternate headline/CTA/etc.
Within a couple of hours, that impression will appear in your test report.
