I am thoroughly impressed with Persona by Delve so far. We have our gsc and analytics set up and we are pretty on top of things in regards to that manner. We have analitify connected on our site so we get some personas in a sense that way but this blows things out of the water. One of my sites is in the health and fitness industries and it's already pulling in industry insights into keywords that we weren't really targeting. We can see people coming in related to trauma, hormone, wound etc... Gives us the concern, the body part, service/procedure....and from a marketing perspective good gracious this is insane!!! Imagine the possibilities if you know what people are coming in from and then running sales or segmented specials according to that information that was pulled in. The live persona section blew me away. The images, the information, the add to cart history, the AOV...buying this literally gets me excited with all the sales opportunities and segments we can now funnel into their own eco-system. Max stack this one for sure!! People leaving anything less than a 5 star review don't know how to maximize their analytics. This is one you should not miss.
I've been a paying customer (annual subscription) for over a year. It has delivered many insights, most of which I wasn't expecting. The best feature, which isn't even talked about that much, is that it will send you real-time alerts when companies visit your website. You also get weekly summaries of all the companies that have visited over the past week, as well as the journeys they took: which pages they visited and for how long, on a timeline. This information is absolute gold, as you can start noticing patterns: which industries are attracted to your product, which companies/industries spend the most time on certain pages, like case studies etc.
The generated personas are also very useful and open your eyes to aspects of your user-base that you might have been blind to.
There are many use-cases that I can think of. Here's a few examples:
* Get targeting ideas: e.g. A girls’ clothing store can figure out from their best performing segment persona that they can use “Comics” as an effective targeting criteria in Google Display ads to reach large buyer segments efficiently.
* Improve customer experiences: e.g. The buyer segment for a sporting goods store can show that their preferred method of communication is chat and the store website was not offering chat. Adding chat as a channel for interaction could improve conversion rates significantly.
* Content marketing ideas: Use segment-wise resonating topics to create right content and messaging for the respective personas.
The possible scenarios are endless. Like I said, I've been a paying customer for over a year. Every single interaction with support (to answer my ridiculous questions) has been a fantastic interation. Over this time it has delivered more value to me than I've paid, and now that it's available for a short time on AppSumo, the future value-add is off the scales.
This is a deal that I personally asked AppSumo to bring, and I'm so thankful to Delve.ai and AppSumo for making this happen. If you're on the fence, be quick and make the right choice for your circumstances.
So I have only been using Persona by Delve for a few weeks but so far this is fascinating.
We are all trying to nail down our ICP, and we know some of it for sure, make data backed educated guessed on more of it, and then are frankly totally guessing and imposing our wants onto it. Guess what? We might be wrong, or we might be missing another segment that would totally buy if we shifted our message ever so slightly.
Persona helps us by building out personas backed by real analytics. Over time this can only help you with your ICP's, messaging, and overall business.
It is early days for me and Delve but I suspect it will be a great relationship, so far the insights have been informative and useful.
P.S.if you are not trying to segment your site visitors then you are leaving buckets of money behind.
1. I'm assuming the automation baked into the software will become better with accuracy. Some of the feature results seem generic, for example Competitor Persona. I targeted a nationwide mortgage company that focuses on U.S. veterns. Results across most measurements were super broad.
Quick Wins:
2. Report descriptions to its outputs are non-existent on the reports themselves. Add generated comments and suggestions inside the reports results such as you see with any SEO website analysis tool as an example. Reports are not meant to be simply handed off to a client. Instead they're likely to throw back in your face while asking "what's this!".
3. Provide the ability to pick and choose the best results based on the client needs. This can be as part of a reports generator where certain information to be pushed is clicked like a checkbox. Custom tailored reports work.
4. Provide the option to export the entire report vs individual sections as it is now. Unless I missed this option, it was not evident to me.
I think the primary focus should be to apply report result descriptions and possible solutions from a persona capturing perspective. Yes, you may have to add some psychological assessments, but that's the entire point of this tool right?

Hi cientiros,
Thank you much for taking the time to suggest quick improvements/wins for our persona generation platform.
As for #4, we are pleased to share that you can now schedule bulk export (export entire profile) and automatic emailing of reports whenever personas are generated or updated each month. You can choose to have these reports sent to agency and/or business level users. To...

Seriously great tool! Already upgraded.
I've only truly loved a handful of tools from Appsumo. This is my favorite. Why?
Competitive personas tell me what the needs are for any website out there, as well as what pages and topics on those sites have gained traction.
If you're a competitor, watch your back. ;-)
15 Tacos. I'm a triple upgrader!
