Q: Chat bot with speech recognition and audio responses played back
Is there a way to use Pickaxe with speech recognition? I am trying to build a language learning app that requires the use of recorded responses so the user responds via microphone (with the recognized response shown on screen in text) and then the bot responds back via audio (with the corresponding text shown on screen). Is this doable and if so, how?

Sep 2, 2024A: Right now, no. Pickaxe doesn't have native voice-to-text features. Howerever, there are multiple workarounds. On a Mac, for example, if you click the function button (the "fn" button in the bottom left) twice really fast, you can speak and your computer enters transcribes it into text.
