Q: Uses per month?????
I watched the youtube video on How to make a studio (https://youtu.be/Xwvum2esQ6Q?t=516), it talks about setting USES PER MONTH for my customers.
We are purchasing tokens from OpenAI. How does the number of uses per month translate into token consumption and pricing for our customers? For instance, if a customer has 5 uses, how many tokens are consumed? Since OpenAI charges us based on token usage, how is the monthly usage defined in terms of tokens?

Dec 26, 2024A: You give your end-users credits. Each credit equates to 1 use. You do not sell them tokens. You sell them uses. It is very easy to select a price point ($10 for 100 tokens) where you can be guaranteed not to lose money).
You also create your own tools. In the builder we have a lot of controls to make sure the bot isn't using tons of tokens.
chandrilPLUSThank you for your response. How many tokens does 1 "USE" consume? How can I set that up? I'm considering allowing guests five uses per month, but I'm concerned that if those five uses consume too many tokens, it could lead to significant losses for me.
It is not a set amount chandril. If the chatbot says "Hi" that is 1 token. If the chatbot writes an essay, that might be 1000 tokens. Each generation is 1 credit regardless of the tokens in the underlying request.
