I have used several products like this, so I wondered how best to describe the experience. It was like moving from one of the old flip phones to my first iPhone—yes, Pickaxe is that good. It is well designed and laid out, and the whole Studio concept is sheer genius. The forum is active, and the Pickaxe Team responds well.
Pickaxe can become a great company. But there are obstacles to this. On the forum, I asked (as have others) for a currency other than dollars—this was met by polite surprise and the question of whether it was a major block to sales. This answer worried me. A customer should not have to check exchange rates before buying a product.
There is also the question of white labelling (I posted on the forum minutes ago, so there is no time for a reply). I went to extra expense and great trouble to establish my own brand. But on the sign-in via Google, there is a huge sign that is the Pickaxe URL. It is hard to white label when the very large sign on the front door points to another company.
All of these issues are ultimately addressable. So, to sum up, Pickaxe is simply an amazing product. It is well-engineered and designed. Our team has bought other products from AppSumo, but Pickaxe is easily the best product we have ever bought. Wrestled for over 10 months to bring what we believe is a revolutionary AI product to authors (no, not another write your own novel via AI -yuk!!). We were using a combination of Open AI and Bubble. Render, Flowise and struggling. Just 6 days with Pickaxe, and it is finished (check it out for yourself: https://chat.chatfables.com/home). If I get the time, I will make a YouTube video one day using archive footage we have of trying to build without Pickaxe and then building our product with Pickaxe - honestly, it is mind-blowing.
We are on the tier 2 plan but plan to upgrade.
