Makes Pinterest Faster, Not Hands-Off
Pin Generator does not fully automate Pinterest, but it does make you a lot faster.
I was hesitant to buy for the longest time. I knew it wouldn’t be set it and forget it, but I wasn’t sure it would provide enough value. I was wrong.
You can generate batches of pins quickly, review what works, refine them, and publish more consistently. I am creating more pins now because of it.
It is not hands-off. You will still review and tweak outputs, but that is also what keeps quality up.
Top 3 Pros:
1. Fast pin creation at scale. Generate batches and move much quicker than doing everything manually.
2. Template flexibility. Once you find a design that works, it is easy to duplicate and iterate.
3. Useful insights. Keyword research, trends, and the profile audit help guide what to create and improve.
Watch Outs:
1. Set realistic expectations on automation. You still need to review and select what to publish.
2. Some workflow friction. A few settings and steps could be smoother.
3. Pinterest limitations. API restrictions impact things like categories and posting control.
If Pinterest is part of your strategy, this is at least worth giving it a test drive. Just go in with the right expectations.

Ollie, I couldn't find a way to reply to your comment so I am adding my response here.
Thank you for the reply. I really like the product and would love to keep providing feedback. Here are a few areas that I think would have the biggest impact:
1. Automation improvements
I mentioned to Candice the idea of automatically adding alt text to pins that are missing it. That feels like low-hanging fruit most users would enable without needing review.
More broadly, it would be great if automations had controls at the board or section level, with the ability to run batch updates (alt text, titles, links, etc.). A wizard-style flow with an “apply to all” option would make this very efficient.
2. URL management and reuse
During setup, selecting URLs works fine at first, but it quickly becomes difficult to track what’s already been used across a larger website.
It would help to have a persistent URL library that shows:
Which URLs have pins created
Ability to search and filter
Ability to select the next batch
Optional notes or status
This could become more of a control center for ongoing use.
3. Queue visibility
I created ~20 pins and selected about five to refine and publish. I used “add to queue,” but I haven’t been able to find this queue.
If there is a queue, it’s not obvious. If not, having a clearly visible saved/queued area would help a lot.
4. Access to previous batches
The only way I’ve found to revisit past images is through “view recent batches” in Automation, which is easy to miss.
A more visible library view of all generated or imported images, with the ability to organize (keep, delete, group), would improve the workflow. Folders or tagging could help here.
5. Image sourcing workflow
Providing a URL to pull images from can feel slow and inconsistent, especially with sources like Amazon.
It would be helpful to have a more direct way to select images, possibly via a browser extension, that could also pull in title, description, alt text, and my affiliate link in one step.

Definitely Good
I’ve been using Pingenerator for a few weeks and have generated a lot of good looking pins from my Etsy store . It definitely shortens the process but isn’t entirely automated.
Suggestions for improvement would include an option to draw photos from only the first 4 or 5 on Etsy as most sellers use the last few for infographics. The AI rewrite of the title is weak and often produces duplicate titles. The description rewrites are ok although It sometimes picks up data from outside of the Etsy description like prices and sizing that may not be right and probably shouldn’t be in a pin. Using an outside AI is tricky as it’s an all or nothing process to use the built in system or external import.
These suggestions don’t mean that I don’t like it. It’s just wishful thinking.

Apr 14, 2026Thanks for the review alan466.
I will make some improvements on the AI title rewriting. I have set it up though to output unique titles when you rewrite all titles from the Ai section in the sidebar. That should solve your issue.
I’ve also set the description to exclude prices. If a price appears on a pin, it’s because the pin is a Rich Pin linked to your Etsy store, and Pinterest is fetching...

I highly recomend this tool
I played around with Ollie's Pinterest tool around two years ago.
After a few months I moved on to other things and forgot about it.
18 months later I just noticed that 9% of my traffic on my blog comes from those pins.
I am now busy kicking myself and starting again.
Just buy it and use it.
And stick with it.
It really works.

It hasn't worked as advertised (for me).
I really love the idea of Pin Generator, but it has never worked as advertised for me. The generated pins require manual adjustment every time, despite the universal settings that I created, which defeats its purpose. I'm bummed.

Feb 20, 2026Hi there,
Have you tried setting up your own templates? There's also an import templates from Canva feature which you can use to import Canva templates that you may prefer.
This normally speeds up the process for people. I've also just added a new end-to-end automation flow which you can check out here:

This will generate you a Pinterest marketing strategy,...
