Edited Jun 10, 2026A: Hey! Great question, this is the exact part that trips people up, so I'm glad you asked 🔥
First thing to know: a chat and a chatbot in Poppy aren't the same thing. Here's the difference 👇
A chat is the normal chat inside Poppy, where you talk with the AI directly in the app.
A chatbot is something you build from your existing chats and information in Poppy, that you can then share with clients, leads, or team members so they can ask questions and get answers too.
So having chatbot access means you can:
- share a chatbot with people who don't have a Poppy account
- embed it right on your website
- put it to work for support, sales, and your most common questions
- put it behind a paywall and sell access to your clients
Which really just means less repeating yourself, smoother support for your clients, and an easier way to help leads get what they need to say yes 🙌

Here are a few of my favorite ways people are actually using them 👇
🛟 Client support
A coach loaded all her program materials into Poppy and turned it into a chatbot, embedded right in her client portal.
Now her clients get answers at 11pm without waiting on her.
She answers the same five questions way less, and her people feel way more supported.
Win win.

💰 Sales + your DM setter
A course creator I know built a chatbot off her offer, her FAQs, and her past objections.
She dropped it right on her sales page.
Now a lead can ask "is this right for me?" and get a real answer in the moment, instead of bouncing because they weren't sure.
Then she handed that same bot to her DM setter.
He stopped pinging her every five minutes asking "what do I say to this?"
Now he just asks the bot.
Leads don't go cold waiting, and he sounds like he's been on her team for years 📲

🧠 Your internal team
An agency owner built a chatbot off all his SOPs, brand guidelines, and processes.
Then he shared it with his whole team.
A new hire can ask the bot how something's done instead of asking him.
He stops being the bottleneck.
It basically becomes the company's brain that everyone can tap into.

Hope that clears it up! Happy to go deeper on any of these 😊
