Is this a SaaS product, or is everything served from my own server? I don't want Popups to fail (or processing to even slow down) if your site is down or congested. If everything is internal to my server, I'm in.

A: Hi,
PopupKit is not a typical SaaS product. The popups and their functionality are served directly from your own WordPress website and hosting environment.
This means your popup display and core functionality do not depend on our servers being available or under load. As long as your website is running normally, PopupKit will continue to work from your server.
Are shortcodes allowed in the pop builder? I was testing the free version and when I added the shortcode block it did not work. It displayed the shortcode as text "[ninja_form id=1]". I want to embed forms from a plugin into a popup and I don't want to rebuild the forms in PopupKit.

A: Hi,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We've identified and fixed the shortcode rendering issue. A new version containing the fix is scheduled for release today.
Please note that, under WordPress.org's current plugin review and deployment process, updates can take up to 24 hours to become available to users after submission.

Yes, that's correct! The Pro version includes shortcode support and is ready to use.
You can create your popup and display it wherever you need using the provided shortcode, giving you flexibility even if you're not working directly with Gutenberg blocks.
We're excited to have you on board! If you have any questions during setup, feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to help.
Q: I'm an "old-timer" -- I don't use Gutenberg blocks. Will PopupKit still be useful for me?

A: Absolutely! While PopupKit is built with Gutenberg and leverages the block editor for creating popups, you don't need to be a Gutenberg expert to use it effectively.
PopupKit comes with ready-made templates and an intuitive builder, so creating popups is largely a visual, drag-and-drop experience. Many users who don't regularly use Gutenberg find it easy to get started.
