Q: Shortcodes

Are shortcodes allowed in the pop builder? I was testing the free version and when I added the shortcode block it did not work. It displayed the shortcode as text "[ninja_form id=1]". I want to embed forms from a plugin into a popup and I don't want to rebuild the forms in PopupKit.

A: Hi,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We've identified and fixed the shortcode rendering issue. A new version containing the fix is scheduled for release today.

Please note that, under WordPress.org's current plugin review and deployment process, updates can take up to 24 hours to become available to users after submission.

Once the update is live on your site, shortcodes such as Ninja Forms should render correctly inside PopupKit popups, allowing you to embed forms without rebuilding them in PopupKit.

Thank you for your patience!

Does this mean the Pro version is ready for shortcodes? I am ready to purchase and start using it.

Yes, that's correct! The Pro version includes shortcode support and is ready to use.

You can create your popup and display it wherever you need using the provided shortcode, giving you flexibility even if you're not working directly with Gutenberg blocks.

We're excited to have you on board! If you have any questions during setup, feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to help.
