Great app overall, but here is my honest review with some areas for improvement:

1. The page layout, including the video, needs to be more robust. A wider layout is needed. It's great that there is an HTML element and a widget for the calendar, but if a calendar other than Calendly is used, it's not intuitive. An annoying aspect is that even when embedding Calendly, users have to scroll to see available dates. Improvements can be made in this area. Additionally, allowing users to choose the width of widgets, HTML embeds, etc. through custom CSS would be beneficial.
2. When trying to record via my iPhone camera (on Macbook), it often freezes and fails to start. Refreshing the page multiple times or trying different browsers is necessary.
3. For dynamic video, the option to upload a video should be available. The current video editor is not very helpful, or is lacking if you need to delete parts of your video.
4. Although promised for the near future, the feature to combine 2 or more videos for recording introductions and presentations is not currently available.
5. Advanced analytics such as heatmaps or notifications when someone views a video would be appreciated.
6. There is no way to change the privacy settings of a video to make it private or set a password.
7. Limited to 720p and 250Mb/video.
8. While the public roadmap may not be relevant anymore, it would be helpful to know what features are coming up at any given time.
9. Video processing speed could be significantly improved.
10. The AI lip-syncing feature needs better improvement.
11. A "👋🏻" in the thumbnail appears as "▣". This should be fixed.
12. Shortcuts such as Delete and Rename (besides Move to folder) on the "My videos" page would be useful.
13. An advanced video editor would be a welcome addition.

The positives:
1. The ability to have multiple CNAMEs and custom favicons.
2. Simple interface.
3. Customizable colors and the option to customize GIFs, add photos, etc.

Its a bit of a hassle to set up correctly, But once i did i was blown away with how well the voice and face clones do their jobs. I Plan to use potion extensively in my prospecting strategy and possibly upgrade in the future! Thank you so much for presenting appsumo with this deal!

I used this product before it appeared on AppSumo (this time around) and was surprised that such a well evolved product was available. I snapped up three tiers immediately after I saw it and consider the deal to be extremely good value for money. One of the top three deals I've purchased on AppSumo in that regard.

Having manually made and sent thousands of cold outreach videos using BombBomb, and in more recent years, Loom, I can confidently state that Potion saves major amounts of time. My experience has been that they also offer fast and helpful support, even for relatively complicated problems.

This deal is a no-brainer. Almost unbeatable value for your LTD dollar.

Potion is excellent! It's made creating personalized sales videos a breeze, and really fun. I'm impressed by how user-friendly it is and how well it gets the job done. Since I started using Potion in my outreach campaigns, my response rates have seriously improved.

While more customization options for scripts would be a nice addition, the tool still offers excellent functionality as is. If you want to take your outreach to the next level, I'd recommend giving Potion a shot. You won't regret it! I missed this deal the first time. I was hoping it would come back around after seeing other marketers use it to reach out to me. I thought, "Wow! What a cool tool!" I'm glad I got the opportunity to snatch this deal while it last! Happy with it!

I already have a full stack of BHuman, but I've found it hard to use, even though it SHOULD eventually sync with LinkedIn, which is huge. So why get potion?

I've known for AGES (you know 15+ years in internet time) that the more personalized an email is, the better, and one of the best ways to land a client is a personal video shot with something like Loom (another service I've used since it was in Beta, I was their #1 user early on, making over 3000+ videos in my first year when they were OpenTest) that shows the person THEMSELVES - a video shot over their website or LinkedIn profile is huge.

And potion does THAT, and does it well.

The biggest issues that I've had is getting it to synch correctly with the CSVs that I upload (actually, they oddly ONLY take .xlsx docs, NOT CSV which is the industry standard for spreadsheet uploads!), which has made using it a bit clunky, but this may be *ME* not fully understanding the platform.

(EG, to put it into an email platform, you use this code snippit like this:

And I think that works regardless of whether potion is in the initial .csv/.xlsx document or not, making it a non-issue - the links are specific to potion, and tokened with the {email} - so having these added to the spreadsheet is kind of a non-issue, as I've come to understand it.)

However, I've had to figure this out on my own in the last few days, and burned about 200 credits in the process (but 3k/month is a good, generous limit).

Faster support would be helpful - I've submitted support tickets but received no response, and also no confirmation that support even got my ticket) - so an in-house chat messenger would be ideal (kinda standard these days) - but again, it does what it says on the box, and I think I'll use this a LOT moving forward.

I've tried nearly every single platform that does this and there is nothing out there that does personalized video outreach better than Potion.

When I first bought it last year we did 24 meetings from around 700 videos sent over a week on our very first campaign,

The lip-sync works well and is unnoticeable and the voice-over is seamless when stitching together variables with the rest of the video all wrapped in a beautifully designed, highly optimized and customizable landing page.

Integrations with Hubspot, Instantly, Apollo and other major platforms make this an absolute breeze to launch campaigns with.

In addition, Kanad, Graeme and the team are super helpful and responsive as well always providing the best advice to optimize campaigns.

This is the worst plugin I ever used. Several times I have recorded 15-minute and 30-minute training videos, and the video never gets uploaded somewhere, all time, and energy wasted.

Most of the time it doesn't even open the recording screen, I have to disable and enable the plugin again to do it.

My main reason for buying this was for the AI greetings. Tried it and the voice it used was not mine.

Asked to have recordings reset to record again.

Same thing. In fairness the other areas appeared to work well.

I did ask support what was up.

They were polite but when I told them today that the AI voice did not sound like mine. And my face flashed a weird way. They said it was the mic I was using (without asking what mic. ) i had tried with rode mic and a headset mic still the same.

It's an effective tool. Some of my recommendations:

1. Multiple Variables are needed. Instead of just one.
2. Linkedin integration for automation
3. Video generation could take a long time. Priority can be given to paid members in terms of the speed of video generation.

Okay guys, if you're reading this it's likely you're on the fence about whether or not you should purchase this.
I sell B2B, and to consumers directly, and Potion is an awesome game changer for me.
The product works very well, and the customer service is fantastic.

Honestly a fantastic product that you should definitely buy.

A few notes:
Yes - the generation time can take a very long time, I've had some complete in minutes, whereas others I had to wait overnight.
Feature Request
- Enable API so that I can have the requested fields (Name, email, etc.) be automatically entered into the dynamic field.
- Having a singular list of all names, versus a list for each video would I believe be better. I may have a Peter in Video A, and a Peter in Video B. No reason to create two videos.

The above could already be implemented, but that's just my experience.

Personalized outreach is the future, the founders are absolutely amazing!

I recently started using Potion and I have been thoroughly impressed with the software. The interface is incredibly smooth and user-friendly.

hi dear potion team, i love the idea of your service, but unfortunately it really lacks a lot and i don't know how its possible to fixing it... nevertheless the idea of a complete bulk mail AI sounds very well... hope you find a solution for it

Capture modes don't work, videos take hours and hours to load.

I've already used video outreach in the past and I know it works. I got insane results everytime I used a video in cold emailing campaigns for my freelance business.
I've been in the hunt of the perfect software for a while, and I think I found it.
To me the key feature is being able to put the prospect's website in the background at scale, and Potion does it like a charm!
Potion, this is a killer feature you have here, but you don't advertise it on your website. In my humble opinion I really think you should show it off!
I've seen some of your concurrents heavily advertising on this (website in the background at scale) because it gets awesome results. When people see your face and THEIR website in a video thumbnail, they click.
Well anyway, awesome deal, I'm really glad I got this.

The product is solid. Its niche is small but really effective for someone who’s looking for a slightly more personalised sales approach.

We send brochures to 15-20 people per week, so now we do so with a personalised video message. A really nice touch.

Yes, sorting out the Cname is a little more manual than most, but the level of support from Kanad is outstanding.

The multivariables will be a gamechanger and truly make these videos feel entirely personalised.
