Q: Boilerplates & templates: can a build start from my own repo or a custom starter?
I own several Next.js boilerplates that handle front end and backend, but not the research, PRD and validation steps ProductOS does. Trying to see where ProductOS fits: 1. Can a build start from my own existing repo or boilerplate, or does it always generate from scratch? 2. Can I save a custom template / stack and reuse it for all new projects? 3. Can I use only the research + PRD + design stages, export them, and build elsewhere? Do those stages use credits the same way building does?
Q: BYOK & own AI subscriptions: all tiers, credit-free, and can I drive agents from Claude Code over MCP?
1. Is BYOK still on track for the 1-2 week release mentioned on Oct 26? 2. Will BYOK be available on ALL LTD tiers, or only some? 3. With BYOK on, do agent runs stop consuming platform credits entirely, or only partly? 4. Which AI models power the agents today? 5. Beyond BYOK: can I run your agents (research, PRD, design, build) from my own Claude Code / Codex / OpenCode subscription over MCP? If so, do those MCP runs spend ProductOS credits?
Q: Self-hosting: if I build in ProductOS but host elsewhere, do I still use a live slot or hosting credits?
My plan is to build in ProductOS and deploy the exported code to my own hosting (Vercel, Hostinger, etc.). 1. Does a self-hosted app still need a live product slot, and does it still use monthly hosting credits? 2. Does the exported code run fully on its own, or does it depend on ProductOS services (auth, database, SDK, env vars) that would need replacing? 3. Which database/backend do you...
Q: Credits & hosting: how many credits does hosting, previewing and building actually use?
Hi Heemang! The table says hosting is "credits charged monthly" and there are no recurring credits, so I want to budget before buying: 1. Roughly how many credits per month does hosting a small live app cost? 2. How many credits does a typical research run, a PRD, and a full build of a small app use? 3. Does the live preview / cloud sandbox consume credits while it runs? 4. Does GitHub sync or code export cost any credits? 5. What does a credit top-up cost, and do credits ever expire? Thanks!
1. Live Product Limits: Tiers 1-3 list 1 live product. Once a project is exported to GitHub, can we delete it to free up that slot for a new one? 2. Agents & MCP: Is MCP supported? Can we purchase standalone agent capacity later as an add-on without upgrading tiers? 3. Data Privacy: Do you have a zero-data-retention policy, or is our code/data used...

A: Hi Marcus,
Thanks for the detailed questions! Happy to clarify:
**1. Live Product Limits:** Yes, you can export your code to GitHub and archive a product to free up its live product slot for another project. Simply exporting to GitHub doesn't free the slot; the product needs to be archived or deactivated.
**2. Agents & MCP:** Yes! ProductOS supports MCP integration with Claude Code, Cursor,...
Hi Heemang, thanks! Does one slot equal one complete product, with unlimited archiving/reuse? Is BYOK supported or planned? Can ProductOS build and test full backends (DB, auth, APIs, Stripe/webhooks)? Does it support GSAP, Three.js, 3D effects, scroll animations and live previews?
1. Live Product Slots: Yes, one slot = one active/published product. You can export to GitHub, archive or deactivate it, and reuse the slot for another product. Private drafts are unlimited.
2. BYOK: Yes! We're expanding custom AI provider support, with the next release targeted within 1–2 weeks.
3. Full-Stack Backend: Absolutely! ProductOS can build and test databases, authentication, APIs, Stripe Checkout, and webhooks. External services like Supabase or Stripe can be integrated where needed.
4. Animations & 3D: Yes! Our coding agents can work with GSAP, Three.js, React Three Fiber, scroll animations, and interactive 3D experiences, with live previews.
Thanks, Heemang! Is BYOK included in all LTD tiers without platform credits? Which AI models power the agents? Can GitHub exports be staged on Hostinger without Production Handoff fees? Any limits or fees for repeatedly archiving products and reusing live slots?
Hi, I just purchased Tier 1 to test it out. Why does the domain show as https://beta.productos.dev/? Is the product still in beta, or is this just a temporary template until I add my custom domain?
Hi, I cannot find Github under integrations, how to connect my repo? I also think the amount of sites should follow the Tiers from Tier 2 = to sites. If you add this I will upgrade.

Q: Full-stack features, limits, MCP agents, privacy, 3D effects & Stripe?

Just a few questions before buying:

Hi Heemang, appreciate if you could reply on my previous question if you want me to joine.

Hope this helps! We'd love to have you onboard ProductOS! 🚀
Hi Heemang, thats great! last question from previously chat, does one slot equal one complete product, with unlimited archiving/reuse?
Hi Marcus,
Yes, exactly! 😊
1 live product slot = 1 active/published product at a time, not one product forever.
You can build unlimited private drafts, export your code to GitHub, and archive or unpublish an existing product to free up the slot for another.
The slot can be reused for new products, so you're not limited to building just one product over your lifetime.
thanks, I will place my order
