PromoRepublic

Product details

Sorry, it isn't a question.

Sorry, it isn't a question. But a feedback to Promorepublic and Appsumo. I was so excited to see promorepublic being on appsumo. Alas! When I was ready to purchase (with just 13 hrs remaining), I saw that I have to be a Appsumo plus member to access the deal. Deal price isn't hugely different from a normal deal without plus membership. Terrible business strategy by Appsumo and PR for customers like me. Sure, there are deep pocketed customers, who would lap it up. But hope you remember, there are others like me, who got weeded out for nothing. AppSumo - very very disappointed, this is the first time, I am seeing a deal being unable to be purchased. Finally, you have started pushing your agenda for plus membership.

    Hey Sumo-ling,

I understand that it can be frustrating to not have access to purchase every tool you desire. In this case, the PromoRepublic had a limited amount of signups they were able to take on for this promotion, and that's why we were only able to offer it to our Plus subscribers. It's not about pushing an agenda, but rather giving an extra perk to those A+ Sumo-lings.

Our AppSumo Plus annual subscription provides members with 10% off all purchases from the AppSumo store, access to special and extended promotions (like this one), and free access to KingSumo's Web Pro plan -- all for just $99.

If AppSumo Plus is not a good fit for you at this time, but you want to see this deal return to the AppSumo store for general access, feel free to submit a Deal Request here: https://dealrequest.paperform.co/

So sorry again that you missed this deal. Hopefully, we'll have a deal just as desirable for you in the near future!

Thanks Mel for the candid reply. Please don't take my posting in the wrong way. I understand, the perks of plus membership and also feel it would be even more lucrative for plus members to have exclusive deals on top of 10% off etc. However, from an ethical capitalism point of view, I feel it is bit underhanded approach from both the parties. Reason being, if promo republic can afford only limited signups, what is the probablity that the number of signups by plus members outweighs the signups by non-plus members. Having been in medical research for decades, I can say the statistical chances of a p value significance is bit uncertain to me.

Anyway, it is alright for me. Probably the deal was not meant to be. PR lost a valuable customer and maybe few 100s like me.

I sincerely hope and request you not to pursue in this direction of business because there is a huge uncertainity of whether such tie-ups (like PR with you on this deal) has a higher chance of occurence in any given year or not.

    Thanks for listening.
