Q: Can I manually add locations to visit to a map?

Or does there have to be something already registered at that point like a business registered with Google at the address?

I'm thinking of creating a custom scavenger hunt like having people check in at points along a hiking trail like certain vistas or lookouts and having them submit a photo of the lookout as their check in verification. Can this be done?

This would probably require some sort of GPS validation from the user's mobile device that proves they were actually there. Is that part of the core functionality of Proxi?

What happens if the participant doesn't have a good cell signal? Presumably nothing would work, right? There isn't a mobile app for the user to download that could track their progress somehow without a good cell signal is there?

A: Hello SpacekraftMedia,

Great questions. You can double click anywhere on the map to add a point, meaning a place does not have to be registered with Google to be added to the map.

Yes, you could have people heck in a trail heads, lookouts or vistas. Checking in with a photo is on our roadmap as well as offline maps/checkins. But, you are correct that as of today these features are not available.

Let us know if you have additional questions.

Am I understanding the deal terms correctly?

I can only do this type of thing with the Tier 3 plan, right? Tier 2 doesn’t have this functionality?

Hi SpacekraftMedia,

Passport challenges are only in Tier 3, yes. Passport challenges are official events where people register, check in and earn rewards.

However, people can mark themselves as 'visited' on any Proxi map. This is if they want to keep track of where they've been.

Hope this helps.
