Out of business... I would think Covid may have actually benefited them. Sometimes it's better to shut down and start anew under a different name. Not saying that is what happened here but as a saas I have a difficult time believing everything was destroyed/deleted.
Just finally wanted to start using this. Bought it in May and now I go to login and I find out that they are out of business. Never used it once and lost my money obviously. Wish they would have let us know a month sooner so I could get a refund. This is at least the 3rd company that I have lost money over on AppSumo deals since I joined. Publbox, Fieldbook, and EpicBeat. I'm sure that if I checked all my other products, I have lost more. AppSumo should start insuring these purchases for a certain period of time or vet these companies better. By the way, this doesn't necessarily meet the guidelines because I haven't tried the product. Because I can't. They don't have a product anymore for me to try and I have wasted money on nothing.
This has to go down as one of the worst deals to be offered on App Sumo.
Not only do they go down for "maintenance" after 3 months of the deal being live.
But this wasn't a regular service will be down for a weekend type of maintenance........they took down the platform for 12 weeks with no advance warning, no updates, no communication, just a generic bs message about having to fix ALL the code on the website.
So during this time their saving on all there bandwidth and hosting cost since none of us were even able to log into the website, it was just a warning message on the website.
Of course, they went down for maintenance AFTER the 60-day guarantee.
and now EVEN worse without no messages, communication, update, video, faq, nothing, come to find out that they are NOT COMING BACK AT ALL.
Can you smell the bullshit through the screen? I'm sure you can........it smells so repugnant we all can smell it.
They are so full of shit.
AppSumo needs to vet their deals more closely, this is a reflection of YOU as well.
I can certainly understand some level of risk with LTD but for a company not to even make it past 5 months is absurd. On top of the fact that this happened with ADDUCO as well, and anything I might be saving by doing LTD is lost, as I stacked codes on both deals.
So that's hundreds of dollars that just vanished.
AppSumo should be holding funds and paying them out in increments as they show that they can maintain a running business, as this is extremely infuriating.

I call this bullshit. You didn't get financing because your product wasn't accessible for months. That has nothing to do with short time financing due to corona virus. At least you could've been honest. If your business can't even exist for a few months without financing, then why did you put your product into months-long maintenance in the first place?
Another AppSumo deal that's gone. Really sad because I liked the product.
