Disappointed after two minutes of use

I just purchased the product and wanted to add a new tool, turns out the image did not upload correctly. Then I said to myself ok, I'll just go in and edit it and try I will try different logo... Then I use the AI agent to ask how to make the change and turns out the feature does not exist! I have to reach out to support to make the change. Not off to a great start.

Hey bills6, yes, that's correct! ✅ Users are not allowed to edit the tool database after adding a new tool to the community-wide directory. As you experienced, our support team responds promptly to update the Tool directory within minutes to fix the tools if they are accidentally saved with broken images.

There is a very important reason it is built this way: 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲. One of the most valuable components of our platform is our community-built tool directory — where users can sign up and 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟒,𝟎𝟎𝟎+ 𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 to indicate what technology is used across their processes.

We allow users to add *new* tools to contribute to the growth of the Tool directory, but not edit them after, because if users could edit information on our tool directory it takes one bad actor to programmatically edit the entire tool directory to negatively impact everyone's diagrams.

For this specific feature, 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞. Just as any other product may make 2FA a requirement to protect important data (a tad inconvenient, but you do it for security), we decided to do so for editing the Tool directory.
