Next level process mapping - with potential for more
I agree with the previous review - Puzzle will only be of interest to those either providing services or aware enough to capture and improve current business processes; but as processes are my whole business, I get it - so I got it!
Over 25 years of process mapping and optimising (mostly for the world's airlines, but for the last 7 years or so, I’ve been working with small businesses or solopreneurs needing to scale in a consistent way. So broadly speaking, I make my money through operational and/or marketing process excellence. As I have often said, a beautiful process is like a work of art and should be framed and hung on the wall!
There is much in Puzzle that is right on the money - I love the functions that are there, the way of mapping and the cost elements (I got Tier 3). I really like the workspace structure of workflows, teams, people and tools.
The breadth of elements that are included in the notes area for each step is fantastic and the ability to see what data is being used in the step is brilliant too - setting it apart from many alternatives out there.
I would love to see in the future -
👉 Export of white label reports - as an agency I would need this to be able to fully adopt Puzzle for client work
👉 Allow for process variations - eg 73% it happens this way but 22% happens another way with 5% a third way, and model the process over (say) 1,000 cycles for cost, effort and elapsed time
👉 More direct integrations - my CRM (Flowlu) is not listed and I added it but it's not integrated. Of course all my automations for opportunities and projects are in Flowlu, so I'm duplicating effort to capture them in Puzzle
👉 More use of AI - currently can write summary notes for a step. Wonder what marvels could happen if AI looked at the whole process with a selection of intents - eg reduce cost by 20%, reduce elapsed time by 30%, increase automation by 10%, increase retention by 15% - all that good stuff
👉 Webhooks (where direct integration not available)
👉 Small thing but nice - in workspaces ability to add a client brand just to differentiate between the tiles more readily
This is a well thought out platform and it does what it does very well. The UI is clean and straightforward - nothing hidden in weird corners! I’ve not used support yet so can’t comment on that one way or the other.
Given what Puzzle does now and what it could do in the future, I'm looking forward to see what happens next.
Edited to add - just learned about alias steps; such a simple but massively effective approach!

Edited Nov 4, 2025Hey Neil, thank you for your thoughtful review! 🙌 Happy to hear you're finding those differentiators from alternatives like Lucid and Miro — the process costing features, connecting your data fields to the steps, and the notes section ✅
Your suggestions are very aligned for the direction we're taking the platform 🎯 You can expect more data points around process analysis, integrations, and overlaying AI to recommend improvements (as well as AI-generated maps).
Glad to have you on the journey!
