Currently, Affinity doesn’t offer an SDK or API, which means we can’t create an integration with it right now. However, we’ll keep an eye on it and will definitely explore the possibility if things change in the future.
Thank you for your interest and feedback. The key difference is the amount of cloud space offered. We'll consider your suggestion and let you know if we decide to offer a Pro package with more cloud space.
1. It sounds like files are stored on your server, what happens if your server ever goes down? Do I lose access to all my working files? Will assets synced to wordpress stop working?
2. Can you work on the source files locally in Adobe if you lose internet or are traveling?
3. Can you silo asset source files to specific destinations? e.g. My clients A and B both have Wordpress admin access on their respective websites. I don't want client A to be able to access and sync assets for client B. Is there a control for that?
4. What if I run out of storage with my lifetime license? Is there an option to increase cloud storage?
5. How does Quaaant handle file size optimization? Working files in PS and AI can be rather larger, does Quaaant have compression options and are those editable by the user?
1. If our server experiences downtime, you may temporarily lose access to your files. However, we have robust backup and recovery systems in place to minimize any disruption. Synced assets on WordPress should continue to function as they rely on cached versions, but new syncs or updates will be delayed until the server is back online.
2. Yes, you can work on source files locally in Adobe applications when you are offline or traveling. Once you regain internet access, you can sync your changes back to Quaaant to ensure everything is up to date.
3. Yes, you can silo asset source files to specific destinations. Quaaant allows you to control access permissions for different clients, ensuring that Client A cannot access or sync assets meant for Client B.
4. We will soon introduce an upgrade path for lifetime license (LTD) users to increase their storage. In the meantime, if you find yourself needing additional storage, please reach out to us, and we'll be happy to assist you with your needs.
5. Quaaant has a built-in system that optimizes version control for AI files by storing only the changes between versions rather than saving each version separately. This approach significantly saves space and ensures efficient file management.

Q: Please clarify your terms...
What protections exist to ensure you aren't sharing our assets with unauthorized users?
Your terms grant broad and extensive rights to use AND transfer the content we upload, including potentially far-reaching usage. These terms could allow unauthorized users to use our images on their own apps or websites without the need for additional permissions, as long as it aligns with the functionality of the site.
Here are the terms I'm referring to specifically:
When you upload or post content to our site, you grant us the following rights to use that content: * a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform that user-generated content in connection with the service provided by the website and across different media including to promote the site or the service forever; * a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence for other users, partners or advertisers to use the content in accordance with the functionality of the site.
~~~ QUESTIONS ~~~
1. What does the term ‘transferable license’ entail within the context of your app? Does it allow for my content to be shared beyond the users I initially authorize?
2. Will I be notified if my content is accessed or shared beyond the users I have authorized? Is there an audit trail feature to track this?
3. Could you further define "to use the content in accordance with the functionality of the site"? How do I know another user can't access my images/assets and start using them on their own app or website?
A: Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
We understand the importance of safeguarding your content and ensuring it is used appropriately. We have recently updated our Terms of Service to better address these issues and clarify our policies. Unfortunately, the updated version was not correctly linked on our website, but this has now been corrected.
To clarify briefly, the new Terms of Service make it clear that any content you upload is considered confidential and proprietary. The rights you grant us are solely to provide you with the services you need, such as storage and document handling. We do not share your content with unauthorized users, and any sharing functionalities require your explicit action.
You can review the updated terms here https://quaaant.com/terms-and-conditions-2/.
When it comes to syncing assets, it actually depends on the source of the project. If your source project is from Photoshop (PS), the assets will sync as raster images (PNG). Thank you for your great questions about Quaaant! It's always exciting to hear from users who are keen to understand how our platform can enhance their workflow.
Quaaant is designed with two types of integrations in mind: source and destination integrations. This approach enables the efficient distribution of design assets from a source to various destination integrations. Currently, our platform supports Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as source integrations, and Figma, WordPress, and JavaScript frameworks as destination integrations.
We've primarily envisioned Canva as a destination integration. This is based on the common use case we've discovered through conversations with potential users – the easy import and synchronization of vector and bitmap assets created in Illustrator and Photoshop. However, we are definitely considering Canva for a source integration too. This would allow assets created in Canva to be easily distributed to WordPress and JavaScript frameworks.
Beyond vectors and bitmaps, we are also planning to support 3D, video, and audio assets. Your insight into where assets from Canva could flow, especially if Canva is a source integration, would be invaluable. Could you share your thoughts on this?
It might be best to discuss these ideas in more detail on our Discord feature-request channel. That way, we can delve deeper into your needs and how Quaaant can meet them.
Again, thank you for your interest in Quaaant. Your feedback is crucial in helping us develop a tool that truly meets the needs of our users.
This would be extremely helpful for us. I want to use this in our Podcast workflow. We have so many assets everywhere that this DAM-type synchronization would be beautiful. https://www.bringinitbackwards.com/
Q: Are you suggesting that if we were to create and asset in Photoshop or Figma - that we can convert it into ...
Quaaant streamlines the flow of assets from source integrations to destination integrations. At the moment, our source integrations include Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, covering both vector and bitmap assets. On the destination side, we've got Figma, WordPress, and JavaScript (through an npm package). We're gearing up to introduce a Figma source integration soon.
This means you can effortlessly bring your vector (.svg) and bitmap (.png) assets right into the Media section of WordPress. From there, you can use them in your posts, across any theme, or even with any theme builder.
And here's the superpower of Quaaant: your assets remain always in sync. If you make any changes to your design in Illustrator or Photoshop, you can bring those changes into WordPress with just a click. No more tedious exporting and importing. Plus, with the branching feature, you can easily experiment with new design directions, allowing you to switch all assets to a different variation in one fell swoop.
So, in essence, Quaaant not only streamlines your asset flow from design tools like Illustrator and Photoshop to platforms like WordPress but also keeps everything in sync.
Quaaant projects can remain local, but the true benefits of collaboration become apparent only when using the cloud. I'm not entirely sure about your current workflow or whether the file sizes are large due to multiple versions or different design directions being saved. However, with Quaaant, managing all versions and experimenting with design directions becomes much easier using branches. Each save creates a new version, and a Quaaant project is essentially a collection of all these versions and various design directions, but it's highly optimized for space efficiency. Additionally, it enables multiple designers to collaborate on the same Adobe Illustrator file simultaneously. So, while local storage is possible, leveraging Quaaant's cloud capabilities offers a more streamlined and collaborative experience.
A: Yes, the integration for WordPress stores assets in the WordPress media section, so any theme builder can use them. Assets are created in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, and it's possible to bring any new changes in WP with just one click.
Q: Hi,
Does this work with the desktop versions of AI and PS?
Where are my design assets stored? Does it move them from my local or cloud source?
Does this integrate with any DAMs?
What is stored in the 20gb? Is that for metadata, file overhead, etc., not my actual files?
I am working with approximately 20tb of digital assets. Do those stay in my file system/DAM?
Can this provide an asset used/resource listing? Obviously, I need to track where every image for every project comes from. It would be helpful to have the software do that.
Yes, Quaaant works exclusively with the desktop versions of Adobe Illustrator (AI) and Adobe Photoshop (PS).
When you create design assets in AI or PS, Quaaant allows for easy sharing and synchronization with other tools. Each object or layer from your AI or PS files can be turned into an individual asset. This means that from a single AI or PS project, you can create an unlimited number of assets. These assets are versioned for easy management.
As for your question about storage, your design assets are stored on our cloud. The AI and PS projects are the only sources for creating assets in this case.
At present, we don't integrate with other Digital Asset Management systems (DAMs). Our platform focuses on seamless integration with AI and PS, offering a unique blend of asset creation, management, and synchronization.
The 20GB storage pertains to your project files, including the assets you create and their versions. It does not account for metadata or file overhead.
I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to ask if you have any more. I'm here to help!
Thank you so much for your excitement and interest in our product, it means the world to us!
We understand your concerns about storage, particularly when dealing with AI and Photoshop generated assets. To efficiently manage this, we leverage Git as our project and asset storage technology. Git allows us to store multiple versions of the same project in a highly optimized way, so the 20GB limit can be surprisingly spacious when utilized effectively.
However, we absolutely understand that depending on your needs, this might still be a limitation. That's why we're actively considering an upgrade path for more storage. Once this upgrade path is in place, we'll provide detailed information on how to proceed with the process and the associated costs.
Thank you once again for your interest and support!
Yes, I am also wonder many of the same things, with regards to storage. Could there be a possibility to connect a third party cloud storage, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, AWS S3 Bucket, Wasabi or similar or offer an up sale for additional storage.
We're planning to integrate third-party cloud storage providers as sources for managing design assets (importing, synching, searching, sharing). While we're still working out the details, our goal is to offer a seamless and flexible storage solution that caters to the diverse needs of our users. Thanks for your suggestion and stay tuned for updates!
Q: Hello there, thank you for bring your workflow solution to the community.
While I may not consider myself a professional designer, in the past I have occasionally found myself managing projects that require UI/UX updates. I've been on a long hiatus and a lot has changed with figma and other designer tools. However, based on my past experience and a review of my project notes, my workflow hasn't been overly cumbersome. Nevertheless, I do believe that your tool could play a significant role in streamlining the iteration process.
Reaching out, as I'm a bit confused about how to effectively utilize Quaaant without a supported creator integration, especially in its current state. I've come across conflicting information on this matter. One response suggests that an active Adobe subscription is not a prerequisite, while another hints at the necessity of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating assets that can be seamlessly integrated into platforms like Figma and WordPress. Given that I don't see any other creator integrations on the current roadmap, I'm eager to learn how I can effectively utilize Quaaant without relying on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
From what I've gathered, it seems that assets need to originate from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop before they can be seamlessly integrated for further use. Personally, I typically lean towards using Canva or Figma for asset creation or modification. I found the video demonstrating the handoff to WordPress at the end destination to be quite informative.
Additionally, I often collaborate with freelancers who possess more advanced graphic design skills, as I do not have access to Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. I'm curious about how I can obtain assets from them or what the handoff process would look like. Would they publish assets to a URL for Quaaant to retrieve, or should I upload the output files they email me to a specific location on Quaaant?
Moreover, I'm interested in whether it's possible to have multiple destination endpoints, such as different WordPress sites on various domains where I have administrative access. Additionally, I'd like to know more on how Quaaant will support integration and handoff would function with NPM packages containing Vue.js and React components, as it appears to still be in development.
Lastly, I couldn't locate any reference material on importing assets and having them routed in the opposite direction, such as from WordPress, Figma, Canva, and others, to Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop for further edits.
Thank you once again for considering my question. Best of luck to you and your team with this campaign. I'm eagerly anticipating your response and the possibility of integrating your technology into my toolbox.
Thank you for reaching out and for considering Quaaant as a potential addition to your project management toolbox!
You are spot on – Adobe tools are indeed a creation point for assets, and Quaaant offers robust integrations with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. With these integrations, you can manage vector assets with version control and even branch out designs into multiple versions, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Our NPM package facilitates easy integration with any JavaScript framework, which enhances versatility for your specific needs. Once collaborators share a project with you on Quaaant, you can effortlessly insert assets into Figma, WordPress, or your chosen JavaScript framework. Every subsequent change to the assets synchronizes with just one click.
For those outside the Quaaant user base, projects can be shared through a public link. Here’s an example for you to see: https://app.quaaant.com/project/p/5f4hT1qLuY. While this view under the "Versions and branches" button doesn’t show all our capabilities, it offers a glimpse into the depth of our version control.
I'm also excited to share that we are actively working on adding more source integrations, with Figma being high on our list. This will allow even more flexibility and connectivity for designers and project managers like yourself.
If you're keen to see how Quaaant can fit seamlessly into your workflow, I'd be delighted to walk you through a demo. Please feel free to book a suitable time for a video call here: https://quaaant.com/book-a-demo/.
We look forward to the opportunity to facilitate and streamline your asset management process.
Thank you for the response Marko, impressed with the glimpse I saw and can confirm the depth of the version control mentioned. I'll be securing my code shortly and will reach out during Q1, once I firm up my use cases and campaigns so that I make best use of your tool. Keep up the great work, and wishing you and the team continued success. Talk soon.
Q: Team Quaaant,
Welcome to App'sumo!
A few questions: 1. Do I need a code for each person on my team? 2. How do I control permissions? Editor, viewer/guest, etc.
Thank you for reaching out. Let's dive right into your questions:
1️⃣ Each team member will need an individual code to get set up. This ensures that everyone has their own access and can personalize their experience on our platform.
2️⃣ We've got you covered when it comes to managing permissions. For each project, you can define access levels, which means you can designate who gets to edit or just view. Plus, there's the convenience of sharing a public link to the project for users who don't have a Quaaant account. And for that extra layer of control, you also have the ability to lock down access to design branches for each separate branch.
Hope that helps! Here's to a fantastic journey together with Quaaant. Should you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here for you.
Thank you for the quick response over a weekend no less! Bravo! A few developers could learn a thing of sort! A follow-up, since these are separate, how do I control access once I derive a code? For example, myself and two freelancers/interns. When the job is done, I would like to pull back the codes for another go with other freelancers or interns.
Is this an options / possible? Maybe I should have started a new thread for this question.
First off, thank you so much for your kind words – they truly mean a lot. I'm glad I could respond promptly!
I've written a reply in a separate thread to keep everything organized.
If there's anything else you need clarification on, don't hesitate to jump back in there!
Cheers!
The only solution available right now is to maintain control over the accounts for which you've activated a code. But to make sure we cover your specific needs, it might be a good idea to walk through your use case together. How about we set up a video call? Our team can then craft the best workflow proposal for you. Feel free to reach out directly if you'd like to chat sooner, or you can use this link to schedule a call: https://quaaant.com/book-a-demo/.
Looking forward to our discussion and finding the perfect solution for your project!
A: We'd love to create an integration for Pixelmator Pro. However, they currently don't offer an SDK or API for plugin or integration development, so we're unable to develop a solution for their product at this time. We'll certainly keep an eye out for any changes in the future.
A: We'd love to support the Affinity Suite. However, they currently don't offer an SDK or API for plugin creation, so we're unable to create an integration for their tools at this time. We'll certainly keep an eye out for any changes in the future.
Thanks for getting in touch. If you've installed Quaaant on your PC, you should be able to locate the integration within Photoshop by navigating to the 'Plugins' menu. Just a quick reminder, the minimal supported version for this integration is Photoshop 2022 (min. version 23.3). If you're using a version below this, it might be the reason you're not seeing the extension.
However, if you're on the correct version and still facing difficulties, I'd recommend reaching out directly through our Support widget on our web application at https://app.quaaant.com/. Our team will be more than happy to assist you further.
Thanks for reaching out. As of now, we haven't planned on adding the white label feature. However, I truly appreciate your feedback, and we'll certainly consider it for potential future updates. We always aim to improve based on what our users need, so thank you for pointing this out!
This means that from a single AI or PS project, you can create an unlimited number of assets. These assets are versioned for easy management.
As for your question about storage, your design assets are stored on our cloud. The AI and PS projects are the only sources for creating assets in this case.
At present, we don't integrate with other Digital Asset Management systems (DAMs). Our platform focuses on seamless integration with AI and PS, offering a unique blend of asset creation, management, and synchronization.
The 20GB storage pertains to your project files, including the assets you create and their versions. It does not account for metadata or file overhead.
I hope this answers your questions. Feel free to ask if you have any more. I'm here to help!
Hi Marko,
Thank you for your very thoughtful response.
The 20gb storage seems minimal for storing assets generated by AI and PS. What is the cost/process to upgrade once it runs out?
Really excited about your product!
Thanks!
Hi there,
Thank you so much for your excitement and interest in our product, it means the world to us!
We understand your concerns about storage, particularly when dealing with AI and Photoshop generated assets. To efficiently manage this, we leverage Git as our project and asset storage technology. Git allows us to store multiple versions of the same project in a highly optimized way, so the 20GB limit can be surprisingly spacious when utilized effectively.
However, we absolutely understand that depending on your needs, this might still be a limitation. That's why we're actively considering an upgrade path for more storage. Once this upgrade path is in place, we'll provide detailed information on how to proceed with the process and the associated costs.
Thank you once again for your interest and support!
Yes, I am also wonder many of the same things, with regards to storage. Could there be a possibility to connect a third party cloud storage, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, AWS S3 Bucket, Wasabi or similar or offer an up sale for additional storage.
We're planning to integrate third-party cloud storage providers as sources for managing design assets (importing, synching, searching, sharing). While we're still working out the details, our goal is to offer a seamless and flexible storage solution that caters to the diverse needs of our users. Thanks for your suggestion and stay tuned for updates!
Q: Hello there, thank you for bring your workflow solution to the community.
While I may not consider myself a professional designer, in the past I have occasionally found myself managing projects that require UI/UX updates. I've been on a long hiatus and a lot has changed with figma and other designer tools. However, based on my past experience and a review of my project notes, my workflow hasn't been overly cumbersome. Nevertheless, I do believe that your tool could play a significant role in streamlining the iteration process.
Reaching out, as I'm a bit confused about how to effectively utilize Quaaant without a supported creator integration, especially in its current state. I've come across conflicting information on this matter. One response suggests that an active Adobe subscription is not a prerequisite, while another hints at the necessity of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating assets that can be seamlessly integrated into platforms like Figma and WordPress. Given that I don't see any other creator integrations on the current roadmap, I'm eager to learn how I can effectively utilize Quaaant without relying on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
From what I've gathered, it seems that assets need to originate from Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop before they can be seamlessly integrated for further use. Personally, I typically lean towards using Canva or Figma for asset creation or modification. I found the video demonstrating the handoff to WordPress at the end destination to be quite informative.
Additionally, I often collaborate with freelancers who possess more advanced graphic design skills, as I do not have access to Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. I'm curious about how I can obtain assets from them or what the handoff process would look like. Would they publish assets to a URL for Quaaant to retrieve, or should I upload the output files they email me to a specific location on Quaaant?
Moreover, I'm interested in whether it's possible to have multiple destination endpoints, such as different WordPress sites on various domains where I have administrative access. Additionally, I'd like to know more on how Quaaant will support integration and handoff would function with NPM packages containing Vue.js and React components, as it appears to still be in development.
Lastly, I couldn't locate any reference material on importing assets and having them routed in the opposite direction, such as from WordPress, Figma, Canva, and others, to Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop for further edits.
Thank you once again for considering my question. Best of luck to you and your team with this campaign. I'm eagerly anticipating your response and the possibility of integrating your technology into my toolbox.
May 14, 2024A: Hi there 👋
Thank you for reaching out and for considering Quaaant as a potential addition to your project management toolbox!
You are spot on – Adobe tools are indeed a creation point for assets, and Quaaant offers robust integrations with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. With these integrations, you can manage vector assets with version control and even branch out designs into multiple versions, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Our NPM package facilitates easy integration with any JavaScript framework, which enhances versatility for your specific needs. Once collaborators share a project with you on Quaaant, you can effortlessly insert assets into Figma, WordPress, or your chosen JavaScript framework. Every subsequent change to the assets synchronizes with just one click.
For those outside the Quaaant user base, projects can be shared through a public link. Here’s an example for you to see: https://app.quaaant.com/project/p/5f4hT1qLuY. While this view under the "Versions and branches" button doesn’t show all our capabilities, it offers a glimpse into the depth of our version control.
I'm also excited to share that we are actively working on adding more source integrations, with Figma being high on our list. This will allow even more flexibility and connectivity for designers and project managers like yourself.
If you're keen to see how Quaaant can fit seamlessly into your workflow, I'd be delighted to walk you through a demo. Please feel free to book a suitable time for a video call here: https://quaaant.com/book-a-demo/.
We look forward to the opportunity to facilitate and streamline your asset management process.
Cheers,
Thank you for the response Marko, impressed with the glimpse I saw and can confirm the depth of the version control mentioned. I'll be securing my code shortly and will reach out during Q1, once I firm up my use cases and campaigns so that I make best use of your tool. Keep up the great work, and wishing you and the team continued success. Talk soon.
Q: Team Quaaant, Welcome to App'sumo!
A few questions:
1. Do I need a code for each person on my team?
2. How do I control permissions? Editor, viewer/guest, etc.
Thank you and much success!
Cheers!
May 14, 2024A: Hey there 👋
Thank you for reaching out. Let's dive right into your questions:
1️⃣ Each team member will need an individual code to get set up. This ensures that everyone has their own access and can personalize their experience on our platform.
2️⃣ We've got you covered when it comes to managing permissions. For each project, you can define access levels, which means you can designate who gets to edit or just view. Plus, there's the convenience of sharing a public link to the project for users who don't have a Quaaant account. And for that extra layer of control, you also have the ability to lock down access to design branches for each separate branch.
Hope that helps! Here's to a fantastic journey together with Quaaant. Should you have any more questions or need further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here for you.
Much success to you too!
Cheers!
Marko,
Thank you for the quick response over a weekend no less! Bravo! A few developers could learn a thing of sort! A follow-up, since these are separate, how do I control access once I derive a code? For example, myself and two freelancers/interns. When the job is done, I would like to pull back the codes for another go with other freelancers or interns.
Is this an options / possible? Maybe I should have started a new thread for this question.
Cheers
First off, thank you so much for your kind words – they truly mean a lot. I'm glad I could respond promptly!
I've written a reply in a separate thread to keep everything organized.
If there's anything else you need clarification on, don't hesitate to jump back in there!
Q: Can you bring Pixelmator Pro for me to buy this deal?
Marko.Kreckovic
May 15, 2024A: We'd love to create an integration for Pixelmator Pro. However, they currently don't offer an SDK or API for plugin or integration development, so we're unable to develop a solution for their product at this time. We'll certainly keep an eye out for any changes in the future.
Q: Hi Marko, I have installed quaaant on my PC, but I am unable to find the extension in Photoshop.
I searched through the academy, but I couldn’t find a useful tutorial for it.
Marko.Kreckovic
May 15, 2024A: Hey there!
Thanks for getting in touch. If you've installed Quaaant on your PC, you should be able to locate the integration within Photoshop by navigating to the 'Plugins' menu. Just a quick reminder, the minimal supported version for this integration is Photoshop 2022 (min. version 23.3). If you're using a version below this, it might be the reason you're not seeing the extension.
However, if you're on the correct version and still facing difficulties, I'd recommend reaching out directly through our Support widget on our web application at https://app.quaaant.com/. Our team will be more than happy to assist you further.
