Must I have WordPress installed and be using WordPress for my blog? Or can I use it for any other blogging platform?

Quickblog is an independent, embedded blogging platform, so you do need a website/landing page (that supports custom HTML/JavaScript) to use it. We plan to support cross-posting to multiple platforms in future, like WordPress, Medium, Facebook, Tumblr, etc).
Q: Can Quickblog put up a paid or private blog, like inside Wishlist or other paid membership?

We don't have this feature, although we are planning on integrations with paywalls. If you have a Paywall solution that can be embedded into the blog with JavaScript, this would likely work today.
Also usually google ask to include ads.txt on the root folder. Is it possible? Thank you

A: Hi there
You can add AdSense code via an iframe or in the blog post editor directly using the source editor, but there is no ability to upload to a root folder in Quickblog, as it's embedded in the page you host it. This may be possible in your landing page/website builder though.
